New Mexico is officially coming together 🤍
The scents are formulated, the colors are set, and the final bar design is done. I should have the full-size mold trays from Scott Bischoff any minute, which means it’s almost time to start pouring the actual collection.
And the timing feels especially exciting because New Mexico is my next stop.
I leave Thursday for Albuquerque, where I’ll be vending at the Rio Grande Arts Festivals during Balloon Fiesta. Going to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta has been on my bucket list since I was a kid, so getting to finally go and bring this new collection with me feels pretty special.
A few more days of making, packing and then we’re off to New Mexico!

A full-circle day with State Forty Eight Foundation. 🤍
Last year was my first experience with State Forty Eight Foundation and the investment they make in Arizona’s small business community. This year I came back to share Naked Fig’s story and the impact their grant had on my business last year (and learn from another incredible group of entrepreneurs).
I got to see Handmade Jewelry | Curated Gifts | Y Mas! and Heaven in State 47 receive microgrants, vend alongside Brittny | Botanical Skin Care & Chemist and have Jordan Nuñez | Artist + Maker there helping me all day. And a special shoutout to Nadia Vasquez of Fair Trade Cafe | Phoenix Coffee Shop Since ‘07 for representing women in business as the only woman on the panel today 🤍
Grateful to be part of a community that continues to pour into small businesses 🤍

Once upon a time (in 2023), I had a love affair with a state 🤍
Windy, sunny, enchanting. Head over heels.
And every single time I drive through, I feel like my soul recognizes this place. I want to cry and dance all at the same time. Dramatic, probably. True, absolutely.
I think it’s finally time I made some soap about it.

Hello again, Illinois 🤍
Renegade in Wicker Park, Chicago 🤍
Last week I drove to Chicago with my youngest kiddo for another Renegade Craft weekend, this time in Wicker Park.
It was my first time in this part of Chicago and I loved it. The weather felt perfectly September-in-Illinois: a little humidity, a little breeze, a little rain + a little sunshine.
This market was especially lovely because my cousin and her daughter came in from Indiana, and my sister and her family came down from Milwaukee to spend all of Saturday with us. We ordered pizza to the booth, shopped from some truly incredible vendors, and enjoyed being together in the middle of all that market energy.
And of course, getting to see familiar faces come back for Naked Fig never gets old. (Like… it’s one of my favorite things ever.)
Renegade is very quickly becoming one of my favorite Illinois markets. 🤍
Morning Thoughts | no. 4
There’s a reason scent can feel different than other kinds of remembering.
Sometimes you don’t just remember the place. For a second, you can almost feel like you’re back inside it.
The weather. The room. The person you were with. Even the version of yourself you were then.
I love knowing there’s science underneath something that feels so human.

Soap making at The Spa at Camelback Inn 🤍
Truly a remarkable evening with an incredible group of humans whose one connecting point was soap making.
Guests were visiting from all over the country, some on vacation, some traveling through, and we all ended up around one table talking about scent memory, the places that stay with us, and what it looks like to do life on purpose.
And the setting for all of it? Absolutely next level. The Spa at Camelback Inn created the most beautiful backdrop for a genuinely elevated soap-making experience.
This is the whole point of these workshops for me. Making something with your hands is lovely. But the conversations, connections and memories that happen while we’re doing it are the part I love most.
