An exercise in camp, convention, and gender — wrapped in a 1950s fever dream.

When I created DomestiK, I was exploring what “editorial” meant outside of competition work. I wanted something designed for print: a simple graphic environment, a strong visual language, and enough absurdity to tell a story without taking itself too seriously.

The backdrop was hand painted, using oversized halftone dots as a nod to vintage newspaper and comic printing. The wardrobe was thrifted around a loose 1950s aesthetic. Hair became part of the characterization — taking familiar period shapes and filtering them through each model rather than assigning them according to gender.

And then there’s the milkman.

I took the old cliché of “the milkman stealing the wife” and scrambled the casting, gender roles and expectations until the familiar story became something considerably stranger.

Because sometimes the easiest way to question convention is to make it a little ridiculous.

THE FIBONACCI COLLECTION

There’s a strange place where mathematics stops feeling like calculation and starts looking like art.

The Fibonacci sequence appears again and again in the way we interpret growth, rhythm and proportion — spirals, repetition, expansion, balance.

Hair follows many of those same ideas.

A curl repeats.
A wave creates rhythm.
A silhouette grows from one proportion into another.
Shape builds upon shape.

For this collection, I wanted to explore that overlap — using geometry and proportion as both the backdrop and the design language of the hair.

Because sometimes the difference between math and art is simply what you’re using it to describe.

Rogue has always been about challenging convention, embracing individuality, and treating hair as an artistic medium.

Now, that philosophy has found a new home in downtown Phoenix.

After 16 years behind the chair, a new chapter begins.

I’m excited to announce that I’ve officially relocated to Phoenix and joined the team at Perspective Barbershop in Downtown Phoenix — bringing Rogue with me.

A Rogue Perspective is my next evolution: the same craft, experience, and approach to hair, now building something new here in the Valley.

I specialize in barbering, shear work, razor work, longer men’s styles, texture, and cuts that are designed around the individual — not a gender, trend, or one-size-fits-all formula.

Whether you want a classic cut, something lived-in and effortless, or you’re ready for a complete change, my goal is simple:

I’m currently accepting new clients and building my Phoenix clientele from the ground up.

It’s bitter sweet that I am announcing a rapid change in the closure timeline for rogue salon. However, opportunities and life have made it possible for my salon team and I to step into the next phase of our lives. Officially our last day for clients will be July 31.

I will be starting to work at Perspective Barbershop in downtown Phoenix. I of course welcome my patrons to find me if and when you are in the area.
