A very expensive beam that’s now butting up against very suspicious markings..

*IF* what I am seeing is in fact organic growth of some sort or even just lumber mold, where the wood meets wood, the “organic material” will remain. Even if the rest of the material on the beam around it is removed and the wood is treated prior to drywall, the trapped growth between the wood gets to stay. Just waiting for a moisture event to occur.

Building perfect homes is a near impossible task to accomplish! Do what you can and where you can to help make your home as healthy as possible during the building process. Like they’re VERY thorough pre-drywall inspection! A good one is worth every single penny…

My goal here is not to bash or talk poorly on anyone or the builder in this video but rather to bring awareness to the public as to what can happen while building homes.
