One thing I say to clients all the time is the most important part of the haircut is about the ongoing consultation we should be having. It’s a continual conversation throughout the haircut that creates a lasting connection with your clients and an outcome that you both love.

There’s a lot of fear mongering and misinformation going on in the hair community right now so let’s sit down and have a bit of a chat. As someone who used to do long hair and continues to advise clients with long and chemically treated hair behind the chair is one of my number one recommendations. As of January 2022 their formulation no longer contains lilial, which was a fragrant inactive nonfunctional ingredient in their former formulation. There is a misconception that the formulation has only been changed in the UK and EU but that is incorrect. It has been changed internationally. The previous formulation carried a level of lilial of 0.0119% which does not cause infertility. I wanted to make a statement because I always want to be open and honest with my clients. Product knowledge and education is something I pride myself upon and if something goes awry, I want you to be the first to know.

For those of you who don’t know for the last couple of weeks I’ve been part time over at and I am now there full time! If my time there has shown me anything it’s that my vibe meshes very well with the shop and I’m ready to do great work with an inspiring and hard working shop owner ☺️
