Open Body Therapeutics
At Open Body Therapeutics, massage is more than relief—it’s about feeling safe, supported, and heard in your body.
I offer intuitive, therapeutic massage to calm the nervous system, release tension, and support lasting wellness ✨
Sometimes I wonder... is it my ADHD, my perfectionism, or the impulsive shopping that keeps me wanting to tweak something in this room? Maybe it’s a little bit of all three ✨
But what I do know is this: creating this space has never been about making it look beautiful. It’s always been about creating a place where people can soften in a world that constantly asks them to do more.
And truthfully, this room is that place for me, too. It’s my peace. I intentionally protect the energy here—the quiet, the subtle scent, the warm atmosphere. It’s one of the few places where I feel grounded. And every single client who walks through these doors pours back into my cup in ways they’ll probably never realize.
If this resonated with you, I’d love to know: what’s one thing that helps your body feel safe enough to truly relax? Tell me in the comments. 🫶
And if your body has been asking you to slow down, consider this your reminder to listen.

One of the biggest shifts people experience in my treatment room is realizing that pain doesn’t always mean something is wrong.
Pain is your body’s way of asking for your attention-not always sounding the alarm‼️
Your nervous system can become so protective after an injury, chronic stress, emotional overwhelm, or repeated movement patterns that it continues producing pain long after the tissues have healed. The pain is real, but it doesn’t automatically mean you’re causing more harm every time you move.
When we stop seeing pain as the enemy and start getting curious about what our body is trying to communicate, healing often becomes less about
“fixing” and more about creating safety.
Your body isn’t working against you. It’s doing its best to protect you with the information it has.
✨ Pain is an experience, not always a measure of
damage.
Maybe the next version of you isn’t built through more pressure—but through more safety.
✨ “You don’t have to become someone else before you deserve to feel safe where you are.”
If this resonated with you, comment 🫶 so I know we’re in the same boat.
This isn’t a post about lowering your standards or settling. It’s about questioning whether your drive is coming from self-respect… or from the belief that you have to earn the right to feel enough.
I’d love to know if this resonated with you 🫶

After massage selfie is now required 🤎✨ Because seeing the shift—softer shoulders, brighter eyes, a calmer presence—is one of my favorite parts of this work.
Sidelying cupping gives you access to muscles we don’t always think about
Today, we’re focusing on a few hidden players:
✨ Serratus Anterior: Helps stabilize your shoulder blade and supports overhead movement.
✨ Latissimus Dorsi: Assists with pulling, reaching, and shoulder movement.
✨ Teres Minor: Supports shoulder rotation and stability.
These muscles work hard behind the scenes and contribute to shoulder tension, postural patterns, and movement restrictions when overworked.
Sometimes changing positions allows us to access the body in a completely different way.

And truthfully? Living with chronic pain shaped a lot of my excuses. Because when your body hurts, everything feels HEAVIER.
I used to think that I lacked discipline, but I realized something important 👇
You can’t shame yourself into healing; you can only build awareness. Awareness taught me that my body wasn’t lazy. It wasn’t failing me. It was exhausted. Protective. Overwhelmed. And once I stopped fighting my body and started listening to it, everything shifted.
Small walks mattered.
Five minutes mattered.
Rest mattered.
Tiny acts of care mattered.
Healing didn’t begin when I suddenly became motivated. Healing began when I became AWARE.
If you needed permission today: start small 🫶
Friendly reminder: your body was not designed to stay in survival mode.
Go-go-go.
Always productive.
Always available.
Always pushing through.
Living in a constant state of stress can start to feel normal… until your body begins speaking louder.
Tension. Fatigue. Brain fog. Shallow breathing. Feeling “on” all the time.
Your nervous system was designed to move between activation and rest. Rest isn’t laziness — it’s part of the cycle.
You do not have to earn rest or ask for permission.
You do not have to wait until burnout or illness to start to pay attention.
Pause. Breathe. Notice what your body has been trying to tell you lately ✨
What’s one thing your body has been asking for recently?

Healing starts in the smallest movements: realizing your jaw is clenched, noticing your shoulders are pulled up to your ears, recognizing you hold your breath when stressed, and asking yourself WHY instead of labeling yourself.
What is your body asking for today: Rest? Movement? Water? Space? Quiet?
