catching up on some content 💗 life’s been pretty hectic- thank you for any and all support and patience

Clients, thank you so much for your patience with me as I’ve navigated the past two months and begun to grieve. For those who may not know, in February I lost my only and oldest brother, Mathew, and just a few weeks ago I lost my great-grandmother—my Mimi. I’ve experienced both the highs and lows that come with losing such important forces in my life.

My brother Matt never missed a holiday without sending me some sort of meme—he was always making us laugh and keeping things light. My Mimi was incredibly knowledgeable; she could tell me the same story six times in a row, and I’d still learn something new each time. She taught me to appreciate a slower, simpler life—one I often wish I could go back and experience the way she did, the way she spoke about so vividly.

Since losing them, I’ve had to navigate a new season of grief, and truthfully, I’m still finding my way through it. The daydreams I once had of that simpler life now feel different—replaced at times by vivid memories of when I found out she was sick, the texts I received after she passed, standing in church asking for prayers for my family, or the morning before my birthday when I learned my brother had died, while still showing up to a full day at the salon.

With all of that said, if you see me at the salon without makeup, with my hair not done up, in a more relaxed outfit, or if it takes me a little longer to respond, I truly apologize. This isn’t how I want to run my business, but right now it’s the only way I can continue to show up, stay afloat, and keep going.
