The Hobbit Cut Stop motion haircut tutorial. • Technical breakdown • BACK\NAPE Take a center section from round to center back. Elevate vertical and cut 2” above round. Take back to the horizontal and your guide appears. Working to back of ear, take 1” vertical sections, cut a diagonal line with horizontal elevation. No Overdirection. Do both sides. • SIDES Split the square into 2 half’s using a zig zag part. Elevate the top portion to meet guide from back vertically, cut horizontal finger angle. leave points in the cut line. (Not too blunt) Elevate bottom portion diagonally and cut a diagonaly. I started at the corner of the eye. But You decide how short to start. • FRINGE Starting in the center cut a ‘razor’ action style. Pinching a small amount and cutting inside your hands. Gully close the shear. Leave points again. Working to the outside corner over direct each piece to previous slightly gaining length each cut. • TOP (I show the cross check first. Haha) Beginning with vertical part at center, elevate Vertical elevation at first, horizontal finger angle and continue over directing each section to meet your initial guide til you run into sides.
