Dear clients, I have equally sad and exciting news for all of you! I have left Valhalla in stanville with 0 negative feelings toward anyone and will not be taking new clients or doing any hair for a few weeks, BECAUSE I have been offered a job at a salon in downtown Pikeville!!! I feel this is the best option for me to continue to grow and build my clientele in the area I’ve always wanted to work. I now have my certification in both Hybrid Weft and Kera-link extensions through Donna Bella Hair! This brand is 100% remy human hair with the cuticle intact. Hybrid wefts can last up to 8 weeks before needing any maintenance, and Kera-link extensions can last up to 12 weeks before needing any maintenance! Each type of extension, depending on quality of at home care, can be reused up to 3 times, so you get great use out of your investment.

I am now professionally certified in Tooth Gemming! This service is something I haven’t seen in our area and am so excited to offer! I will be adding this to my list of services in the next few weeks once I have all of my supplies and finish the set up. Commonly asked questions:

1. Can I still receive routine teeth
cleanings/whitening?
Short answer, yes. If your concerned about any routine checkups with your orthodontist, you should do this 1 week before treatment.
You can still have teeth whitening done, but make sure you are careful using the mouth piece or tools needed to properly complete the treatment. If it's an at home teeth whitening kit, there should be no issues having this done, but make sure to clean properly before & after.

2. Do I need to be at least 18 to have this treatment?
No, but for individuals under the age of 18, a guardian will need to sign a consent form for you!

3. Can I feel the gem on my tooth?
The jewels are only 0.4mm or 0.9mm thick and 1.8mm to 3mm in diameter. Initially, something on your tooth will feel different, but a few days after the application, you will get used to the new feeling.

4. Can I still receive tooth gems with fake teeth or vaneers?
Unfortunately, the bonding agent will only attach to natural tooth tissue.

5. Can I brush my teeth normally?
The presence of the tooth jewelry will not make any difference regarding dental hygiene. However, it is recommended not to use an electric toothbrush & wait 12-24 hours before brushing.

6. What if I swallow the tooth gem in the event it falls off?
The jewels are tiny glass crystals or gold. They have no sharp edges. It will cause no harm and will pass through naturally.

7. Will the tooth gem harm my tooth?
When properly placed on a natural tooth, the jewelry will not damage or harm your tooth in any way.

8. Does the application hurt?
Not at all. The procedure is similar to placing an orthodontist bracket (used for braces) on a tooth. The procedure is painless.

9. What if I have Invisalign? Can I have this done?
No, invisalign would be placed on your tooth & would not fit with the gem on your teeth. Your straight teeth are more important!

10. What are the gems made of?
Teeth gems are made from non-toxic materials! Typically being 100% genuine Swarovski crystals or K gold plated materials.

11. How long does the tooth gem process take? Approximately 8 minutes to apply the gem plus consultation for a total of around 15-20 minutes.

12. How long will it last?
Gems will last approximately 3 to 24 months depending on the jewel choice and individual's tooth enamel. The average is 3 months, and they can last even longer than 24 months, but truly, the lifespan will depend on the individual, everyone's dental situation and lifestyle is different. I can only apply on natural teeth. Gold and diamond charms, and certain design choices may have a shorter life-span due to the weight of the jewels and the type of design created.
