Consistenet appointments and lifestyle upgrades✨️❀️. This is an express dry cut only service (no styling included, just arrive in your own Hydration Set aka Wash n go).

Jazmin started out her first appointment with stringing coils that made her hair look gappy. It wasnt her density in question, it was her regimen and overall lifestyle. I discussed with her some areas that needed improvement to get closer to her goal from the inside-out. What I was seeing needed more than just a "hair appointment". After sharing some education with her about what she could do to improve her outcomes with some lifestyle adjustments, I let her know that if we weren't getting anywhere, that we could explore a trichology program. For her second appointment, we disccussed more about her overall lifestyle and I trained her on my Hands-on Curl Therapy Experience instruction and from there, her sets got better and better alongside. She absorbed my suggestions and at each subsequent appointment, a new level of Jazmin was revealed from head to toe....coming from within...excuded outwards! πŸ’«
Thank you for trusting the process, Jazmin! πŸ™πŸΎπŸ’œβœ¨οΈ

When wash n gos... go wrong:

Infrequent salon appointments

Blow-drying the hair with leave-in conditioner not formulated for heat-activation.

Expecting the time it took to do your hair when it was cropped to be nearly the same duration as with longer hair.

Air drying because it didn't take that long when the hair was short.

Infrequent cleansing, conditioning, and styling because you eventually realized that longer hair needs more time than what you were used to as a cropped natural.

The client has worn her hair short for nearly 5 years and decided to grow it out. Then life was life-ing which caused her every 8-week routine salon appointments to be thrown off schedule for the last 8 months. Although she wanted to grow it out, she wasn't used to the nuances of having longer hair. The longer the hair, the older the strands are. Old strands need TLC, while shorter hair can withstand just about anything because it's all "new" or "young" hair from being cut short frequently.

A true foundational regimen will work whether you wear wash n gos, blow outs, pressed, or relaxed.... taking a break from wash n gos doesn't mean the regimen should also change completely. It's okay to switch it up, when your regimen is universal for just about any style choice with the guidance of a Licensed Cosmetologist and Certified Trichologist who understands all hair types and their needs from the inside out.

Color-treated hair requires higher maintenance but there are some benefits to it for texture management:

●To increase moisture and product absorption.
● Decrease volume to ease styling.
● ✨️Brighten up and elevate your overall style

However, hair color isn't for everyone (including "semi", "demi", and "temporary" ones. Not just permanent color). Although low-allergen-based coloring systems are utilized more widely in present times, many people can have a dormant sensitivity to them. Especially when their immune system is compromised from something as simple as the common cold. Patch and strand testing is standard practice to rule out potential reactions, but it's important to let your licensed stylist know if you've been ill or had any procedures within the last 3 months at each color appointment (even for touch-ups with the same color and same stylist). That way, if your skin starts to feel sensitive, the necessary precautions can be taken to recalibrate your body. At the end of the day, hair color is a non-organic chemical, so it can be interpreted as a foreign substance in compromised immune systems.

Corrective Cut + Curl Therapy Experience Graduate of '22 !πŸŽ“πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ‘©πŸΎβ€πŸŽ“πŸ’–
Atira came to me with alot breakage & dryness. she had so many holes and random short spots so I gave her the heads up that we would be in a corrective cut for a minute πŸ•
.
I had to learn her hair because Atira actually doesn't have tight waves or tight curls...she has naturally coarse, loose waves. She's the perfect twist-out client but in order for her cuts to be polished, I always cut her hair in a wash n go set.
Cuts every 3-4 months and she's made it y'all! Congratulations and thank you, Atira! πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ’«πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ
