She worked for two salons in the Seattle area, then moved to the East Bay in 1999 where she rebuilt her client relationships at a Pinole Day Spa and Salon.

​ "When I opened my own salon in '08, I wanted to create an intimate space, very simple and comfortable. My meager budget more than mirrored the budgets of the patrons I served. With the economy in shambles, I knew the only way to make a go of things was to keep it simple and serve my patrons well.
