As many may of you know my kids go to the Oakmont Elementary school in Riverview, and I’ll be honest… the differences in the resources between our schools and PTO shocked me. Verner Elementary is a Title 1 school, which means many families are navigating financial barriers that impact access to things that help make school special and supportive for kids. Oakmont simply has more support and an off the charts PTO budgets.

We are ONE district. Our kids will grow up together, learn together, and build this community together. No child should feel like their school experience is smaller simply because of funding gaps or access to fundraising networks.

When I learned how hard Verner’s PTO works to provide classroom parties, teacher and family support, celebrations, and fill gaps — often with FAR fewer fundraising opportunities — I knew I wanted to play a small part in helping close that gap while also building more connection between our school communities. As a mom and small business owner, I try to show my kids what community support actually looks like — with actions not words.

So this Sunday, Daisy Nail Studio will be hosting a fundraiser to support Verner Elementary PTO 💛

Every appointment booked helps fund experiences and support for students and staff at Verner.
