I’ve always used this platform to share my story as it relates to beauty and body- honestly, right in the middle of whatever season I’m walking through. And today, after stepping into eating disorder recovery almost 4 years ago, I felt like I hit a huge milestone- and darn it, I’m going to share it!

While I’ll still be seeing my therapist weekly, I made the decision to have my last appointment with my dietician. It feels both scary and unknown, but also empowering. I want to walk into this summer trusting myself—applying everything I’ve learned and all the tools I’ve been given.

If I’m being real, I cried after our Zoom ended. Anxiety hit quickly with the thought of it being on me now, but so did a quiet calm—reminding me I really can do this.

Looking back at where I started, it’s hard to believe that version of me would have had the strength to make this decision. Through the highs and lows, the anxiety around food, the changes in my body and weight gain, and the process of truly finding myself—I can see how far I’ve come.

I can’t talk about this journey without acknowledging God in it all. Every step, every setback, every bit of progress has been held by Him. There’s been grace in places I didn’t deserve it, strength when I didn’t feel strong, and steady presence through it all. I’m still learning, still growing, and still learning to trust Him with what’s next—even on the hard days and even when I fall short.

I also know my dietician is only a phone call away if I need her.

Life is too short to spend it at war with yourself—and for most of my life, that’s exactly what it felt like. I’m learning what it looks like to live differently.

If you’re walking through something similar, please know you don’t have to do it alone. My heart is with you. I may not have all the answers, but I’m always here to listen, understand, and sit with you in the suck.

Here’s to navigating this next season with more freedom, healing, and self-acceptance-just as I am!
