I like to show healed brows every so often so people can see just how light and soft they get. They’re always darker when they’re fresh but they will become lighter as they heal.

This sweet client of mine had really sensitive and difficult skin and that’s why we opted for a powder brow. And I anticipated troublesome retention but I was actually really impressed they held up this well, given her skin type.

This is why I include my touch ups! So we’re both sure you’ll have beautiful, lasting, fuss free results! ✌🏼

Au naturale AKA microblading.

Remember, microblading alone is not suitable for every skin type or lifestyle.

In this appointment, we had decided on a combo brow after I had already assessed her skin. But once I started working, I was pleasantly surprised to see how well her skin was taking to this technique alone. We opted to just continue on with microblading and leave out the shading...we’d add it at her touch up if she decides on a bit more density.

But I always say, it’s easier to add more later instead of doing too much right off the bat.
Also goes to show that I can visibly assess your skin to a certain point but once I actually start working on/in it, it could behave completely different!

Trust the process....but most importantly, make sure you trust your artist! ✌🏼

Correction work is some of my FAVORITE work to do!

I will almost never turn away a correction unless the shape is so completely off making rebalancing everything impossible, or the old pigment is still too dark and saturated to go over.

BUT I am all about a challenge and these were so fun to fix! She was over the moon with happiness that she finally had even brows and doesn’t have to conceal or draw on new brows every single day.

Reason #1 to opt for this technique would be skin type. This lovely client of mine had slightly problematic skin prone to sensitivities, a bit oily/combination, and bigger pores leaving skin a little more textured. Not to mention a few old chicken pox scars, one of which was in the center of her right brow here. *Using the machine to shade over scarring is going to allow for better coverage and lasting results on top of less trauma*

Reason #2 would be style and longevity. She was used to the look of her brows being filled in with makeup. Soft, pixelated powder brows are not only beautiful but will last a lot longer than microblading and heal more evenly.

I also look at natural brow hair growth. If it’s pretty even and consistent on its own, the need for blending hairstrokes isn’t as necessary.

Of course personal preference is key and I will never push a style on anyone if they’re not super into it!
