Filler migration is one of the most common concerns we hear about lip filler, so let’s talk about what it actually means. 💋👇🏻

Filler migration happens when product extends beyond the area where it was originally intended to sit. With the lips, this can sometimes appear as fullness or a ridge above the lip border rather than definition within the lip itself.

So, should you be worried about it? Not necessarily. But it IS something your injector should be thinking about every time they treat you. 👀

Several factors can influence the risk of migration, including the amount of filler used, placement and injection technique, the type of product selected, your individual anatomy, and your history with filler. This is also why adding more filler isn’t always the right answer. 🙌🏻

At Nu Glow, we assess your lips as they are today before deciding what comes next. Sometimes that means adding product. Sometimes it means waiting. And if existing filler has migrated or is no longer giving you the result you want, dissolving may be recommended before starting fresh.

💗 I started my nursing career in pediatric trauma. I meannnn ….that’s some serious nursing! But I have truly found my niche in aesthetics. 💗 Everyone has insecurities, and that’s literally the reason you’re seeing me for treatment. But if I sense that you have emotional or psychological issues that are driving your decision making, I probably won’t treat you.

💗 All of my patients have my cell phone number for questions, concerns or to make adjustments to their appointments. I consider myself a “concierge” style injector, but it will likely limit the number of patients I will take on moving forward…. and that’s okay with me.

💗If you’ve abused your body for decades (drinking, smoking, sunbathing ect), I may turn you away for aesthetic treatment. The cost of these treatments may outweigh the result I’m able to provide.

RF Microneedling takes it a step further by delivering radiofrequency energy deep into the skin, creating controlled heat at targeted depths to further stimulate collagen remodeling and improve the appearance and texture of acne scars.

Whew… what a month! 🥂✨

Morgan and I are officially settling into our new North Hills home, and we couldn’t be more excited about this next chapter for Nu Glow. We absolutely LOVE our neighbors at upstairs. They have been incredibly supportive of our business and couldn’t be friendlier. We truly feel so lucky to be surrounded by such a wonderful community. 🤍

And then came our Open House this past Sunday… and WOW! 🥂 What a success! We loved getting to see so many familiar faces, meet new ones, and bring some amazing local vendors into the space for pop-ups. It was such a fun day—and we quickly realized just how perfect our new space is for events like this. So yes… there will definitely be more pop-ups to come! 👀✨

We were also thrilled to have Dr. Boles, our collaborating physician, with us offering complimentary consultations for the surgical and non-surgical hair restoration services we’ll be launching at our North Hills location. This is just the beginning of some VERY exciting things coming to Nu Glow. 👀
