At approximately 6:00 p.m. this evening, Mayor Jason Walsh, declared a state of emergency for the Borough of Dormont.

The sizeable amount of snow, frigid temperatures, and ongoing concerns for expedition of services following the storm prompted this official action.

Residents are asked to continue to shelter in place for the duration of the storm and call 911 in the event of an emergency. The Dormont Fire Department and Dormont Police Department are standing by to assist.
