It’s timeeeeee! Stylist spotlight! 📸🔦Meet Arminta!

Hey folks, my name is Arminta Willar. I’m from State College, PA and have been creating behind the chair since 2017. My inspiration comes from art, fashion, editorial and vintage hairstyles. I have many loves within my craft from alternative cuts and colors, to lived in blondes and brunettes. I’m always excited for curly hair, reds, corrective colors, vivids, shaggy mullets and pixies. Cultivating an inclusive, safe place to channel your creative ideas is my passion.

When I’m not at the salon you’re most likely to find me on a quest for an iced latte and vintage treasures (my personal form of hunting and gathering). You might also catch me planning my next travel adventure, taking on a craft project, or entering a random historical research rabbit hole.

I’m a huge movie girl (the weirder the better) and a major Bravo Housewives fanatic. I have also been on a recent venture to learn how to DJ (which I’m admittedly not very good at). Most importantly I’m a mother to my 7 year-old greyhound, Fiesta, who is the absolute center of my universe.

Anyways, I can’t wait to yap (or not, silent appointments are so understandable) in my chair, and turn your Pinterest hair dreams into reality 💌

“Hi, I’m Katelyn Smith, but you can call me Kate. I’m 24 and grew up in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. I’m a college graduate who returned to school to pursue cosmetology. Beauty has always been my passion, and I’ve been working in the hair industry for four years. I thrive on learning and staying inspired by new hair trends, particularly lived-in color, blondes, vibrant colors, haircutting techniques, and prioritizing hair health.

When I’m not at the salon, I cherish spending quality time with my loved ones, going on hikes with my dog Remy, indulging in binge-watching a new series, shopping, cooking, and self-care. 💖

Katelyn is our newest stylist at Swank 🤍

She is 24 years old and a Pittsburgh native! She has always had a passion for hair since she was a little girl, but particularly loves Lived-In color, Hair Transformations, Haircutting, and most Importantly Hair Health. When she’s not killing it at the salon, she likes to relax and unwind by doing yoga, working out, cooking, and lots of self care🫶🏻
