’Twas the night before Rachel would marry dear Matt,�At The Gather Place nestled in Darlington, imagine that.�The flowers were waiting, the candles all bright,�As loved ones grew joyful for tomorrow’s delight.
The bridesmaids were bustling with dresses and shoes,�While Rachel lay smiling, too happy to snooze.�For tomorrow she’d walk toward a promise so true,�To the man God had chosen, her whole life anew.
Now years back who knew what the Lord had in store,�When online two strangers first opened a door?�A message, a prayer, and a spark heaven-kissed,�The kind of beginning no heart could resist.
And Matt, full of love, with a plan sweet and grand,�At her favorite Walt Disney World took Rachel’s hand.�In a park filled with magic, where dreams come alive,�He asked her forever — and love did arrive.
Through prayer and through laughter, through seasons they’ve grown,�Building a faith-centered life of their own.�For Christ at the center has guided each part,�And written this story on each of their hearts.
The moon shone on Darlington peaceful and still,�While joy for tomorrow the whole town could fill.�And somewhere Matt smiled, likely unable to sleep,�Thinking of vows he was soon going to keep.
Rachel dreamed softly of walking the aisle,�Of seeing his face and his tearful first smile.�Of family surrounding, of hymns rising above,�Of covenant blessings and lifelong true love.
No fairy tale ending — much better than those,�But a marriage with roots that through every storm grows.�For weddings are moments, but marriage is art,�Built daily with grace and two servant-filled hearts.
So here’s to the bride and the groom come first light,�May peace fill their souls on this sweet wedding night.�And as morning arrives with joy shining bright—�“Merry wedding to all… and to all a good night!”
