Perfectly said: This is true for more than just parents. Be intentional about your interactions. Words matter. We are living in a time where hurtful behaviors are emboldened. Take this advice: replace child with partner, employee, sibling etc. Inner peace is intentional and a huge part of stress management. God Bless.

While much of the nation was celebrating with cookouts and fireworks, I chose to celebrate a little differently. I was reminded that wellness isn't only about what we correct, improve, or optimize.
Sometimes it's about allowing ourselves to be fully present in our own lives.
To laugh.
To breathe.
To move without urgency.
To receive the moment instead of rushing through it.
I left reminded that restoration doesn't always make us still.
Sometimes it gives us the strength to move forward with greater clarity, purpose, and peace.
I wonder if we wait too long before giving ourselves permission to rest.
What's one thing that has brought you peace this week? π

This weekend, I gave myself permission to slow down.
Not because I was exhausted.
Not because I needed an escape.
Because peace is something I want to protect.
I've learned that when I take time to be still, to reflect, and to spend time with God, I return with more clarity, more gratitude, and a greater capacity to serve others well.
That philosophy has quietly shaped Quiessence from the very beginning.
It's why you'll never hear me talk about chasing perfection.
I'm much more interested in helping people feel comfortable in their own skin, confident in their movement, and at peace with where they are in their journey.
Like water, peace doesn't stand still. It ebbs and flows through our lives, refreshing the places where we've made room for it. π

Morning Thoughts from Meadow Ridge:
5 tips for better sleep:
1. Go to bed- π€£ Its a different kind of sleep when you fall asleep on the couch with the tv on vs going to bed.
2. Set a bedtime. Just like we do for our kids. π§βπ§βπ§βπ§
3. No computer work, TV, blue light source within an hour of sleep time.
4. Stay hydrated. Avoid late day caffeine.
5. Protect your sleep time. Its when your body naturally repairs and recovers.
Optimize Sleep like your life depends on it; because it does.

I think we've forgotten what peace feels like.
We're constantly moving from one responsibility to the next... answering emails, caring for everyone else, checking the next item off the list.
Somewhere along the way, we convince ourselves that taking time to care for ourselves is a luxury instead of a necessity.
When I created Quiessence, my hope was never just to offer wellness services.
It was to create an experience.
A place where people feel welcomed.
Where they feel heard.
Where they can simply exhale for a little while.
The peace I've found in my faith has shaped the kind of experience I hope to create for every person I meet.
Whether we're talking about healthier skin, recovery, or simply taking an hour to invest in yourself, my hope is that you leave with more peace than when you arrived.
Because I believe beauty isn't only something we see...
It's something we experience.
(Apparently It was so important, I said it twiceπ€£)

I think this may be one of the most beautiful things the human body can do.
Not because she's a dancer.
Because she's making something unbelievably difficult look effortless.
That's the lie of mastery.
We applaud the leap...
..and forget the thousands of falls that came before it.
The body remembers every repetition.
Every injury.
Every adaptation.
Every victory.
Maybe that's why I'm so fascinated by movement.
It never lies.
