Everyone please give the warmest official welcome to our newest stylist, Addison! You have definitely seen her running around the salon for a while now, working hard behind the scenes! Addison has been at The Hive with us as an assistant, while also going to cosmetology school full time, and she has officially graduated!! Which means it’s time for you to know more about her, so that when you’re in her chair you know who’s doing your hair 😉.

It is our pleasure to introduce the newest addition to the hair department, Addison!! Addison is our second Aries ♈️ , and loves all things pink and ‘cutesy’. She is finding her new rhythm, but some of her favorite things to do behind the chair are big bouncy blowouts, all the blondes she can get, and quote “taking money from men” ☺️. She is a hard working girl that loves to shop and hangout with her mom in her free time, hitting the tanning beds, and of course the occasional (weekly) trip to Taco Bell 🔔. Her favorite artists right now are Taylor Swift and Megan Maroney, and she loves going to as many concerts as she can 🎶. She is so excited to meet you all in this new way, and we can’t wait for you to see her amazing work and all that she can do 💖! Our goofy queen, Dana, is turning 29 today (jeez)!!! Today we celebrate an incredible woman who continues to inspire us with her creativity, strength, and growth. Dana, your love for your son, your passion for doing hair, and your joy for being a creative person are just a few of the many things that make you so special.✨

It is our pleasure to introduce our newest addition to the nail department, Megan! She has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2007, spending almost a decade doing hair before getting into cosmetic tattooing in 2016. Now Megan is taking the industry by storm ⛈️, and has fallen in love with all things nails! 💅🏻
She specializes in structured gel manicures and rad nail art! If you’re looking for anything celestial, y2k, or nature themed she is your gal 🌿🌙.
Megan is our resident Ta**us, a plant lover (and also killer, whoopsies!), neurodivergent q***r girly who loves her partner and their three dogs Atlas, Bear, and Liv! When she’s not here making nail magic, you can find her doing hot yoga or being a professional couch gremlin (there is no in between). Megan is super passionate about making people feel beautiful and genuinely connecting with any human that sits in her chair 💖! Make sure you grab her an iced salted caramel oat milk latte from before you pay her a visit!

Happy 28th birthday to our first Aries ♈️ of the season!!! Kenndra is our sweetest lady that always dresses the best 👗, does the coolest makeup, and always has the funniest stories to tell us. She is so kind to every person that sits in her chair, and they always leave feeling like a lifelong friend 🫂. She loves to laugh, loves her cats, and loves to keep us up to date on all her fun interests that she has! Her enthusiasm, her drive, and her need to keep growing keeps us motivated everyday.🕺🏻

Boy oh boy oh boy, where do we even begin with this one…
We’re at Pisces ♓️ birthday 3/4 here at The Hive, and this one might as well be a holiday.
Sarah Lynne Perrego is turning 29 today, and we (Katie) look forward to this post every. single. year. 🙂‍↕️

Sarah is one of the craziest people we have ever met 🫨. Now before you say anything, we couldn’t mean that in a more loving way!!! She has the most “out there” ideas that she will present to someone, and by the end of the conversation you will be thinking to yourself “Well s**t, if anyone can do it, Sarah can”🫡. She sees the world in a much different way than most people do, and we are so lucky to witness all the wonderful and inspiring things that she does and creates💖. Whether it’s business ventures, seeing her favorite band 19 times (like cmon), hitting every estate sale in NEPA, or fitting a dozen side quests into one day — Sarah is taking care of BIDNESS (while also playin’ on her phone)📱.

Sarah has a light that she carries with her everywhere she goes. To know her is to cherish her, and in cherishing her it is like being loved by the sun 🌞. She is a blazing, radiant, intense, dazzling woman, and we couldn’t be more thankful to know her in every stage of life✨. Watching her turn into this resilient and talented woman AND business owner has kept us inspired with each new day and each new project that comes through our doors. 💆🏻‍♀️

NOW, with all of that being said….she is still one of the biggest clowns 🤡 we have ever met. We love to keep her humble around these parts, like using all these lovely pictures of the back of her head (no because why does it always look like that), and reminding her how much of a fool she is. We love her and all of her quirks, and we can’t wait to see what this year could possibly hold for someone who lives louder than life ❤️‍🔥.

🎊HAPPY DIRTY 30 JON🎊

Happy 30th Birthday to our second Pisces of the season, Jon! ♓🎉
Not only is he our only man in the salon, but he’s also the brawn behind most of the construction projects (because otherwise we are hanging everything up with thumbtacks… ), the fixer of every IT problem we like to throw his way, and the one who we love to bully the most. Basically… if something breaks, glitches, or if we need to bully a man for fun — Jon’s our guy 🫶🏻🔨.

Today he’s doing something for himself for once, and celebrating the big 3️⃣0️⃣ with a little self-care. After everything he does to keep the salon running smoothly and to keep all of us happy, he’s DEFINITELY earned it 🙂‍↕️.

Jon is one of the hardest workers we know, and somehow he keeps getting funnier with age. We’re pretty sure turning 30 officially marks the start of his ✨old man meme era✨, and honestly…we don’t know how to feel about it yet. He is truly one of a kind, and we are so grateful to know him in every stage of life. ♥️

🎉HAPPY 27TH BIRTHDAY CADENCE🎉

If you know Cadie, you know how much love surrounds her everyday. She has been here from the beginning and we couldn’t be more grateful to spend another year with her for her birthday 🎁 . This past year has shown just how strong, determined, and resilient she has become. Going back to beauty school, pushing herself towards her goals, and continuing to grow and evolve more and more all the time ✨ — she’s handled it all while also growing a teeny tiny little baby inside of her🤰🏻!! The last year has been full of giggles, sushi lunch dates, new experiences, new hair problems (because why do her floofs always do that…iykyk), and the joys of new motherhood. It hasn’t always been easy, but she keeps showing up and proving how capable she is, and how much passion she has for everything she does.

Cadie is kicking off Pisces ♓️ season the right way as the first of many birthdays here at the salon, and if anyone was going to start it off strong, it would be her. Cadie deserves to be celebrated everyday with how much she has accomplished over the last year, and we couldn’t be more proud of her with each passing moment ♥️.
