Walking the beaches of Normandy was one of those experiences that’s difficult to put into words. Standing at Omaha Beach and Pointe du Hoc, seeing the memorials, and hearing the stories of the men who fought here on D-Day brought the history of June 6, 1944 into vivid perspective.
Our Tauck journey was made especially meaningful by our guide, Florent Plana, whose knowledge, passion, and dedication to preserving the stories of WWII veterans added so much to the experience. Florent has personally interviewed veterans so their memories can live on for future generations. You can follow his remarkable work at WWII Veterans Memories.
Grateful for the opportunity to walk these historic grounds, reflect on the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of so many, and remember the price that was paid for freedom.
Lest we forget. 🇺🇸🇫🇷
