Temporarily Closed

The studio may remain closed, but I’m returning behind the chair.

I’ll be at F X Salon in Greenwood in March. Tentatively set for the 2nd week of March working Wednesday-Friday and some Saturdays to start.

Life has been crazy since the middle of last week. My mother in law unfortunately passed away last week on Thursday. My mom then fell on Saturday in her garage and broke her hip. She’s been at IU Saxony until yesterday when she was moved to Community North Rehab Hospital. Between my sister Traci, Rylee and I are taking turns staying with my dad since he’s special. This will continue when my mom gets cut loose from the rehab hospital since they’ll both need help or will end up smothering each other in their sleep. This obviously will delay my reopening because they are high risk and I’m not ready to risk being an asymptomatic and getting them sick. My apologies to anyone this may affect appointment wise. I’m happy to refer you to another amazing stylist.

Dear Clients,

I have agonized over making the decision regarding reopening the salon. Although the Governor has announced that Salon’s/Spas are able to reopen May 11, I have decided not to reopen until June 1st.

The health and safety for my clients, myself and my family is of utmost importance to me. While my space is relatively small, I am still required by state guidelines to have proper PPE and sanitation materials prior to opening and to use during each appointment.

I am currently reaching out to reschedule my clients that had previous appointments already scheduled.

I know many of you have been waiting patiently due to previously cancelled appointments during the stay at home order and I understand if you are unable to wait and need to make an appointment elsewhere.

As governors are trying to figure out how to ease back in to a new normal, please remember:

🛑 Some people don’t agree with the state opening.... that’s okay. Be kind.

🏡 Some people are still planning to stay home.... that’s okay. Be kind.

🦠 Some are still scared of getting the virus and a second wave happening....that’s okay. Be kind.

💰 Some are sighing with relief to go back to work knowing they may not lose their business or their homes....that’s okay. Be kind.

👩🏾‍⚕️Some are thankful they can finally have a surgery they have put off....that’s okay. Be kind.

📝 Some will be able to attend interviews after weeks without a job....that’s okay. Be kind.

😷 Some will wear masks for weeks....that’s okay. Be kind.

💅🏻 Some people will rush out to get the hair or nails done.... that’s okay. Be kind.

❤️ The point is, everyone has different viewpoints/feelings and that’s okay. Be kind.

We each have a different story. If you need to stay home, stay home. But be kind .

If you need to go out, just respect others when in public and be kind!

Don’t judge fellow humans because you’re not in their story. We all are in different mental states than we were months ago. So remember, be kind.

Please copy and paste this reminder for kindness. ❤

Due to extension of the stay at home order through May 1 and non essential businesses to remain closed, I will be reaching out to those of you who have appointments schedule during this time. If you have an appointment scheduled in May your appointment will remain as scheduled. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this unprecedented time.

Hello Clients,

First, I hope you all are all feeling well and staying sane during this worrisome time. As I’m sure you’ve seen, Federal and Local Government have requested all non essential businesses to close (or offer telecommuting) to help slow down the spread of the Covid-19 to help control the burden it may have on our Healthcare system.

For the safety of my clients and my family due to the close proximity of the studio to my home, I have made the difficult decision to close until April 6. I apologize in advance for the inconvenience this may have on you and I will try to get anyone with appointments rescheduled as soon as possible! I hope that all will understand that I did not make this decision lightly, but that I am not able to continue performing services while maintaining the CDC recommended social distancing guidelines.

For those of you who have upcoming appointments this week, I will be reaching out to you asap to reschedule. I appreciate your understanding during this time.

Sending you all healthy vibes and look forward to seeing you soon.

The struggle is real when you work by yourself and your gimpy shoulder prevents your bendiness. Thanks to my other half for hooking a girl’s grays up!

He had a good run with the beard. 3 months are up tomorrow so at least he let me have a little fun whilst shaving it off.

Please check out the video put together by the company our daughter Rylee works for. Feel free to share so we can get them trending on social media. She worked hard editing all the videos the facilities sent in to make the mash up from the 8 states.
