2016 — What a time! 💖🦋✨📸

•Stood in the middle of the cobblestone street because vibes
•Made my first website (back when I was Kate K Makeup)
•Played with makeup for hours
•Had red hair & loved to do a winged liner
•Did I mention I loved to play with makeup?? Honestly creating looks like this was so much fun!

Same makeup. Two different photos. 📸💖

One taken on my iPhone, the other by a professional photographer - and you can see how different (or similar) the makeup can appear depending on lighting, camera, and editing style.

This is something brides don’t always think about, but it’s such an important learning moment:

▫️Photographer editing styles (warm, cool, sepia, true-to-life, etc.) can slightly shift how colors read in photos.

▫️A pink lip may photograph a bit more coral, a soft bronze eye might feel warmer, and skin tones can glow differently depending on the edit.

This is not a bad thing at all and absolutely not a knock on photographers. Every artist has their own signature style, just like makeup artists do! It’s simply a reminder that makeup is designed to look beautiful in real life first, and then photographed through someone else’s creative lens.

Trust your makeup, trust your vendors, and know that every version of you on your wedding day is still you-just seen through different art forms ✨
