Haven’t made much soap lately, very little energy and/or motivation. I had made these soap embeds a while ago and didn’t want them to go to waste so that was my motivation yesterday. What could be better than goats in goat milk soap???

Just finished adding eyes, the pigs can see now!! Another batch getting ready for a mud bath.

This soap is a new technique I learned, obviously I didn’t nail it the first time, lol. It is a glycerin soap and should be clear so you can clearly see the cow inside. After doing some trouble shooting I’ve learned I probably poured when it was too hot, which caused the cloudiness. I don’t know that this will replace cold process soap for me but it was fun learning how to make it. I may practice on some simpler designs. The glycerin soap does make a really nice lather! It’s a technique totally different than what I’m used to.

I’ve had this design on my mind all summer but due to various reasons, it did not come to fruition until now. Other soapers are on to fall and holiday designs and I’m still stuck in summer, lol. This is a tallow and goat milk bar, it’s going to be so GOOD!
