Wearing gel consistently doesn’t automatically damage your natural nails, and taking it off for a week or two doesn’t give them an “oxygen reset.” What matters is proper prep, the right service for your nails, regular maintenance, and safe removal.

There may be times I recommend going product-free, but it’ll be based on the condition of your nails—not because they need to breathe.
