Maybe “chic” is simply choosing to live with more intention.
Taking care of your body before it has to demand your attention. Knowing when to slow down. Paying attention to what your body—or your baby’s body—may be communicating. Choosing care that listens before it tries to fix.
At Ke Kino, therapeutic bodywork supports adults, mothers and babies in feeling more grounded, regulated and connected.

When was the last time you stopped to listen? When you don’t have the time or “capacity” to process what you’ve been through, what life has put you through, or what your body has gone through, there’s going to come a time, sooner or later, when it forces you to stop. We don’t have to worry about treating it if we work on prevention.
Create the habit, maybe daily, maybe weekly. Of sitting with your thoughts, breathing, meditating, and praying. Process every detail so your body doesn’t have to store it somewhere until it eventually weighs on you and your loved ones. Start today. Maybe five or ten minutes a day, in bed or in the car. Tuck away the devices that keep your mind from articulating events that could be taking a toll on your body.
Take it in and let it out. If you need a push, we are here to help you.

We believe the body moves in this same spiral. Old patterns may return through posture, breath, tension or emotion—not because we have failed, but because the body is offering another opportunity to listen. Each time we meet ourselves with greater awareness, safety and compassion, we create the possibility for a different response. Healing is not always a straight line forward. Sometimes, it is returning to a familiar place with a body that finally feels supported enough to let go.

We’ve seen people come in convinced they need to push harder… sleep less… think differently… stretch more.
Sometimes the body isn’t asking for more effort.
Sometimes it’s asking for a different input.
Dysregulation doesn’t always announce itself loudly.
Sometimes it whispers through tension, fatigue, overthinking, poor recovery, or feeling disconnected from your own body.
Your body isn’t trying to fight you.
It may be trying to protect you.

Your body is always communicating.
Sometimes through tension.
Sometimes through fatigue.
Sometimes through pain.
Sometimes through the feeling that something just isn't right.
The question is whether we're listening.
So often, we're taught to ask:
"How do I make this stop?"
But what if there's a better question?
"What is my body trying to tell me?"
Curiosity doesn't mean ignoring discomfort. It means approaching it with enough openness to discover the story behind it.
At Ke Kino, we believe healing often begins when we stop fighting our bodies and start understanding them.
What is one thing your body has been trying to tell you lately?

Family healing does not always happen one person at a time.
Sometimes the bodywork becomes a shared experience.
A parent softens.
A child settles.
A sibling feels safe nearby.
The whole room starts to regulate together.
In this session, two experienced therapists worked simultaneously with the boys, supporting their bodies while staying connected to the family system around them.
Because children do not exist in isolation. Their posture, tension, sleep, digestion, emotions, and nervous system are all shaped by the environment they live in.
At Ke Kino, we look at the child.
But we also pay attention to the family.
Because when the family feels supported, the child often has more space to heal.

Where transformation awaits.
A woman couldn’t get pregnant.
No obvious physical cause.
Both partners were fertile.
Everything looked “fine.”
Then, during craniosacral and energy work, the practitioner began listening to the pericardium — the protective sac around the heart.
And what came forward was not a fertility issue.
It was protection.
The body had learned, long ago, that danger was close.
So the pericardium kept guarding.
Not just the heart, but the parts of her connected to creation, safety, and motherhood.
The work wasn’t to force the body to let go.
It was to thank the protection.
Featuring craniosacral and energy work with Etienne Peirsman.

Summer has a way of disguising exhaustion.
Everything feels lighter—longer days, trips, being outside, seeing people, saying yes more often.
Until one day you finally stop…
and realize your body never really did.
Sometimes what we call being “off” isn’t a problem to solve.
It’s simply noticing.
Noticing the tension you adapted to.
Noticing how disconnected you’ve felt.
Noticing that recovery hasn’t happened just because time passed.
Your body experiences seasons too.
And summer isn’t always the restful season we imagine it will be.
You don’t have to earn rest by reaching a breaking point.
Sometimes taking care of yourself looks less like pushing through—
and more like creating space to reset.
