Introducing my new salon name dedicated to my beautiful little bird - Wren 🩷 What has always been true in my life is that the hardest things are always worth it if your heart is in it. My little business has blossomed but only because of all the hard work of my amazing family and support of wonderful clients and friends. Motherhood is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but there’s nothing more rewarding to me than seeing my baby girl happy. Work was my baby before Wren and now I get to nurture and grow both out of love. I couldn’t be more proud!

As my last day working in Tampa Palms comes to a close, I’m in awe of how amazing the last 10 years have been.

It’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever done and other than my amazing daughter, the thing I’m most proud of. The hard work. The long hours. The legal battles and financial struggles. It all lead to the most beautiful and rewarding career.

The amazing women and men that I have met have truly changed my life! They’ve grown with me. Supported me. I’ve met babies, been at weddings. Celebrated new jobs and cried over breakups.

I will be seeing some of you at my new location and this humbles me. To those I might not see…..THANK YOU. With all my heart ā¤ļø these are happy tears.

On to the next journey!

Sometimes you need to ask for help. Sometimes you struggle. Sometimes you break. For the past 10 years I have given myself completely to my passion that I turned into a business. A successful one. But even people with the bravest face can have mental health issues. It comes as no surprise to my family, friends and clients that I have struggled with anxiety and depression. I talk about these issues openly. Your weaknesses can also be your blessings. And the more we talk about mental health, the less of a stigma it can be. Recently due some circumstances in my job these two issues have reared their ugly heads. I’ve been trying to push down the negative emotions because I have an amazing career, and amazing fiancĆ© and an amazing family. I have clients that fill me with such happiness that I never wanted them to know I was struggling. But now, in the happiest time in my life, I’m struggling with my mental illness. It does not discriminate. It does not have perfect timing. My job is the most rewarding job in the world. But it can also be the heaviest. It’s truly rewarding that people care enough about you and your craft to want your services. In cosmetology school they teach you how to get clientele. How to keep clientele. The importance of learning. And product knowledge. But there are not a lot of tools on navigating having a full schedule. And people needing your time and energy. I thought I was doing a good job at navigating reaching my goals. Turns out I was failing. The panic attacks would suggest that I have not been taking care of myself the way I should. I share these things in the hopes that my beautiful clients know that I love them. That I care about them deeply, but in this season of my life I must strive for balance. I want my best to be your best. I will taking some time to focus on my wedding and my family, but most importantly my health. Please be patient with me :) - Meg
