Comfrey and Aloe

The soap is its natural color. All of the tallow was infused with comfrey. The small bar is lighter because it was made in an individual cavity mold. Loaf molds hold more heat, creating a darker colored soap.

The full ingredient list: Comfrey infused tallow, organic sunflower oil, aloe vera juice, food grade sodium hydroxide, organic coconut oil, castor oil, organic mango butter, distilled water, full fat Greek yogurt, colloidal oatmeal, bentonite clay, citric acid, essential oils (rosemary, sweet orange, peppermint, litsea)

I love Greek yogurt in soap just as much as I do coconut and goat milk!

Whipped Tallow Butter, made with frankincense and yarrow infused grass fed tallow, apricot oil, meadowfoam oil, cetyl alcohol, vitamin e, rosemary antioxidant, and essential oils of German chamomile, sandalwood, geranium, and lavender.

Every time I make this, I test a different oil/ingredient. It was my first time using cetyl alcohol.

Cetyl alcohol is a fatty alcohol derived from coconut or palm. It’s used in skincare products, hair conditioners, and cosmetics as an emollient, co emulsifier, a thickener and softener. It is not the same type of alcohol as ethanol or isopropyl. Those are drying, cetyl alcohol is not.

Grass-fed tallow is high in vitamins A, D, E, and K. It contains alpha linoleic and linoleic acids in almost a perfect ratio of 1:1. These are omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, and they maintain the structure and barrier function of skin. Grass-fed tallow’s composition closely mimics human skin oils (sebum).

This batch turned out softer than I expected, but it’s rich and creamy. When applied to the skin, it melts on contact, leaving a smooth nourished feeling. I like the way cetyl alcohol makes it feel.

Whipped Tucuma Butter, Murumuru Butter, Cupuapu Butter, Ucuuba Butter, and Kukui Oil.

They’re Brazilian butters, but Kukui nut oil is primarily grown/produced in the Hawaiian Islands.

I’m a tallow girl, but this is one of the most luxurious things I’ve ever put on my skin. I did not add essential oils. It has a naturally sweet, nutty, caramel scent.

I don’t have any for sale, but I may in the fall when the temperature cools down. I don’t like ordering or shipping butters when it’s 100°f. I’ll post again before I place an order for the butters to see if anyone is interested.

Rainforest Chica is the best source for Brazilian butters, oils, and clays. She has her own body butters available for purchase on her website. I cannot recommend her and her products enough. They’re the best.

Comfrey and Aloe Vera 🌿✨

I wish it would’ve stayed this color, but it dramatically lightened. It’s not the prettiest soap, but the ingredients make up for it.

It has full fat Greek yogurt, colloidal oatmeal, and it’s scented in an essential oil blend of Spanish Rosemary, Peppermint, Sweet Orange, and Litsea Cubeba

Look at a bar upside down and it looks like the rainbow is coming out of the cloud.
🌈☁️

Colorants used:

💜 Purple- purple Brazilian clay and gromwell root

💙 Blue- indigo

💚 Green- French green clay, organic chlorella, indigo

💛 Yellow- yellow Brazilian clay

🧡 Orange- red and yellow Brazilian clays

🩷 Pink- rose clay

It’s scented in an essential oil blend of Sweet Orange, Ho Wood, Lavender, and Cedar Wood.

Other ingredients are Distilled Water, Tallow, Olive Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, Food Grade Sodium Hydroxide, Organic Coconut Milk, Organic Shea and Mango Butter, Rice Bran Oil, Castor Oil, Raw Sugar, Citric Acid, Sea Salt

I did get some crystallization on the sides. It’s from soaping at a cool temperature (to keep the batter fluid), pouring at emulsion (because I needed a fluid batter to achieve 6 colors), and using more water to mix clays (because I didn’t have time to deal with clumps) 😂

I love this soap so much and can’t believe I waited 2 years to use a scraper. I am elated with the outcome!

🌈☁️

Wish me luck, send prayers, positive energy, and good vibes!

I poured 6 colors. Purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, and pink. The colors of a rainbow. I let it set up and thicken, then scraped the bottom shape of a cloud into it. Made another batch of white soap, poured it on top, then scraped the top shape of a cloud.

4 hours and a ton of dirty soap dishes later, she’s done!

This was my first time using a soap scraper. I was a bundle of nerves!

Please let it turn out good! 🤞🏻

Charcoal Saltwater Bars, and Triple Butter Salt Bars 🌊

Nothing changed with the charcoal bars, (nothing will ever change with them, I promise) but a few delicious ingredients were added to the salt bars.

Check out these amazing ingredients ✨

Charcoal Saltwater - Organic Unrefined Shea Butter, Distilled Water, Organic Avocado Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, Food Grade Sodium Hydroxide, Organic Mango Butter, Castor Oil, Sea Salt, Aloe Vera, Activated Charcoal

Triple Butter Salt Bars - Sea Salt, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Unrefined Cocoa Butter, Distilled Water, Organic Coconut Milk, Food Grade Sodium Hydroxide, Organic Unrefined Shea Butter, Organic Mango Butter, Castor Oil, Citric Acid, Raw Sugar, Apple Cider Vinegar Powder, Bentonite Clay, Essential Oils of Pink Grapefruit, Tea Tree, and Lavender

They’ll both be ready in a couple of weeks. These soaps are $10 each due to the ingredients.

***** The difference in saltwater and salt bars……..

saltWATER bars have sea salt dissolved in the water, and they contain activated charcoal.

SALT bars have sea salt added directly to the soap batter and in much higher concentrations. I used 90% sea salt in this batch (the last ones were 80%).

These are my 2 favorite soaps!!!

Bourbon and Sandalwood!

Remember the bourbon scented soap I made my nephew? He loves it!

He loves it so much that he’s almost used it all 😳😅

I made him more but used a different bourbon fragrance, added sandalwood, and used kaolin clay instead of bentonite clay. All other ingredients are exactly the same. The swirl is black Brazilian clay and activated charcoal.
