Let me tell you a little secret, I’m a trained professional. I can tell when you’ve picked off your gel polish, hard gel or acrylic nails. I’ll explain to you why you shouldn’t. Keep in mind here, a full nail growth cycle is between 6-12 months.

1. Picking off nail polish or artificial enhancements can seriously damage your nail plate. When you peel or chip away at these layers, you're also taking off the top layers of your natural nails, making them weaker and more likely to break, split, or peel. Nobody wants that!
2. The more you pick at your nails, the weaker they become. This long-term weakness can leave you with brittle, thin nails that have a hard time growing and bouncing back. In some cases, this can even lead to onycholysis, where the nail plate separates from the nail bed. Yikes!
3. Picking off artificial enhancements can create small tears or openings in your nails, making it easier for bacteria and fungi to sneak in and cause infections. Trust me, dealing with an infected nail is not a fun time.

This is the goal. But,we have to work together.πŸ’…πŸΌ

We all want the most of our manicures, so here's .nz top tips to do just that πŸ™Œβ¬‡οΈ

✨ Use your cuticle oil! πŸ’§ It hydrates the skin around your nails as well as the nail itself, preventing breakages.
✨ Don't ever pick/force off your product! πŸ‘Ž This will take away layers of your natural nail with it (and also make the sets that follow not adhere as well as they should)
✨ Prebook your appointments so you know you'll be able to get back in the salon for maintenance before any lifting/damage occurs πŸ“† This is done ideally every 2 - 3 weeks.
✨ Always see your Nail Tech to remove your gel for you - don't pick of your product off (see tip 2 πŸ™Š) Proper removal by a professional is always best & a sure way to avoid any damage.
