One of my favorite parts of doing hair is figuring out what actually makes sense for each person sitting in my chair.
Not everyone wants to be in the salon every 4 weeks, and not everyone needs to be.
I want to know how often you WANT to come in, what level of maintenance feels good to you, and most importantly, how you want to feel when you leave.
Because low-maintenance color can still be beautiful, dimensional, and intentional. It just has to work for you.
So, what does your ideal salon schedule look like? 🫶🏼
You don’t need to earn self care by being completely depleted first.
You don’t have to wait until you’re snapping at everyone, crying in the car, living off iced coffee, or staring at your grown-out color in the mirror thinking, “When did I become the last person on my own list?”
Self-care doesn’t have to be dramatic.
It doesn’t have to be a whole weekend away.
It doesn’t have to mean abandoning your family, your responsibilities, or the people who need you.
Sometimes self-care is simply making the appointment.
Getting your grays blended.
Refreshing the color that makes you feel like yourself.
Trimming the ends that have been begging for help.
Sitting in a quiet chair with a hot coffee and no one asking you for a snack.
That is NOT selfish my friend.
It’s maintenance.
It’s care.
It’s remembering that you are a person too, not *just* the keeper of everyone else’s needs.
You are allowed to want hair that feels beautiful and easy.
You are allowed to take a few hours for yourself.
And my goal is to make sure you leave the salon feeling lighter than when you walked in.
