One of my routines after everyone has left the salon, is to decompress from my day. Most nights I’ll sit here for an hour before cleaning and packing up.
Being a highly sensitive empath makes it harder to come down after a work day. I’m sensitive to lights, sound, temperature and I absorb everyone’s energy and emotions around me.
This is a big part of why I’m only behind the chair two days a week. Being highly sensitive makes my job challenging but it’s also what makes me really good at it.
Being able to connect and listen to people far beyond their hair is so rewarding. I can feel what you’re feeling, even if you can’t describe it. They don’t call us hairapists for nothing. Sitting in my chair is like going to therapy and I love being that safe place for my clients🫶
