Almost there.

Regain is totally gone and I am near “goal.” I fear using the word in this weight loss community, I apologize if it’s not a thing anymore.

Unfortunately my skin is so damaged that it will never be normal. My whole goal in blogging a million years ago was to chronicle my skin removal experience.

However- I ended up with intractable epilepsy instead, with my first witnessed tonic-clonic seizure at the reconstructive surgery office. I know NOW that the experience of being in the hospital with fluorescent lights and a huge amount of stress was likely a trigger for the seizure. I was also likely having multiple types of seizures for a very long time before this - it was simply unseen.

I’m still unlikely to have major surgery to contour this puddle of a body. At least not until I am out of full time caregiver mode. Because also after the epilepsy diagnosis- I had four (more) children.

We can't control everything. Here's a simplified reminder to pull that energy back to the center.

Opinion: Children with obesity deserve access to treatment, not stigma Expanding access to obesity care would improve children's health, reduce long-term medical costs, and align state policy with modern medical science.

I suffer with pretty severe varicose veins. I have had them since I was pregnant at 18 years old. They have been aching lately and I ordered a few pair of compression leggings and tights to help. My attempt at wearing a pair of “post surgical compression” (brand unknown) tights was very brief.

While I loved the compression on my legs - it was too tight on my ankles and I thought I might swell up. I peeled them off pretty quickly.
