Vacation is officially coming to an end ❤️✈️

Over the last couple of weeks, our family had the opportunity to visit The Netherlands 🇳🇱 and London 🇬🇧, and it was an amazing time.

One of the most special parts was getting to visit THREE of the FOUR amazing au pairs our family has welcomed through the program. Seeing where they grew up, exploring their hometowns, meeting family members, playing games unique to their culture, and sharing that experience with our kids was something really special. It reminded us that being an au pair is so much more than childcare. It’s about building relationships that become family all over the world. ❤️

We also spent time in London soaking up some culture, history, and of course taking the kids to a couple incredible West End shows 🎭. Between trains, planes, museums, canals, walking miles every day (their least favorite park), and eating too much, it was busy... but the best kind of busy.

I’m definitely sad to see this trip come to an end, but I’m also excited to get back home, back to my patients, and back to the clinic next week. And then it’s right back into teaching with more programs next week as well. 💉🦋

Travel is amazing, but there’s something special about coming home too. 🛏️

Closing out Nurses Week feeling incredibly grateful for this profession and the AMAZING nurses I’ve had the privilege to meet in aesthetics training all over the USA (and globally) 💉✨

Seriously… the level of knowledge, grit, compassion, talent, and hustle in this industry is humbling. Some of the smartest, funniest, hardest working people I know are nurses. We balance science + artistry, patient care + business, and somehow still manage to show up for everyone around us every single day ❤️

This picture is from our graduation from TWENTY years ago 🥹🎓 and honestly… not much has changed except maybe a little more caffeine, a few more responsibilities, and significantly more tox and a dash of filler 💉😂✨

A special shoutout and dedication to my BFF from nursing school, Carrie 🫶 (.medspa ). My ride or die. My daily 8am phone call on the drive into work to vent, laugh, problem solve, spiral for 3 minutes, then lock back in 😂 Thank you for being the kind of friend who reminds me where I came from and why I started this journey in the first place.

To all my nurse friends in aesthetics and beyond… thank you for what you do. The long days, the emotional labor, the continuing education, the passion, the patience, the heart behind it all. You inspire me daily and I’m lucky to surround myself with people like you 💕
