As stylists, we’re all about keeping your hair healthy during blonding services, but it’s equally important for you to take care of your hair at home.

Here are my top 3 tips to keep your blonde hair looking bright after you leave the salon.

1.🟣DON’T OVERUSE PURPLE SHAMPOO ! It can build up on your hair and make it look darker. The biggest mistake people make is thinking it helps brighten your blond, but in reality, purple shampoo is meant to neutralize warmer tones. It doesn’t brighten your highlights.

2. 🚿USE A SHOWER FILTER! Hard water and other minerals in our water can cause your bright blonde to turn yellow or even orange. A shower filter can help a lot to prevent this from happening.

3.🧴ALWAYS USE A STYLING PRODUCT THAT HAS A BUILT-IN HEAT PROTECTION! One of my favorites is Keune Ultimate Blowout. Never skip this step!! The heat from your hot water, blow dryer, and any hot styling tools can cause your blonde hair to turn yellow and look dull. I recommend using low to medium heat at all times.

As your stylist, it’s our job to make sure we are educating you on how to care for your hair after you leave the salon.

🥳Today is a special day as Sara and Maria each hit a milestone in their apprenticeship. Sara’s is celebrating 1 year in her apprenticeship and Maria only has one month to go before she graduates. So exciting!!!
