Healing after microblading can be a bit of an emotional roller coaster because your brows change a lot before they’re fully healed. Here’s what you can expect:
Days 1–3: Fresh Brows
* Brows look very dark, bold, and defined (30–50% darker than the final result).
* They may feel slightly tender or tight.
* It’s normal to have a little redness or mild swelling.
Days 4–7: Flaking Begins
* Thin scabs start to form.
* Brows may look dry and flaky.
* Do NOT pick or scratch them. Picking can pull out pigment and cause uneven healing.
Days 7–14: “Where Did My Brows Go?”
* As the flakes fall off, your brows may suddenly look much lighter or patchy.
* This is completely normal! New skin is covering the pigment, making it seem like it disappeared.
Weeks 3–4: Color Returns
* The pigment gradually becomes more visible again as your skin heals.
* The strokes soften and look more natural.
* Any patchy areas become easier to assess.
Weeks 6–8: Fully Healed
* Your brows have reached their final healed color (usually 30–40% lighter than they were immediately after the appointment).
* This is when you’ll have your perfect idea of the finished result.
* Most artists schedule a touch-up around 6–8 weeks to perfect any areas where pigment didn’t retain evenly.
During Healing, Avoid:
* 🚫 Getting your brows soaking wet.
* 🚫 Sweating heavily for the first week.
* 🚫 Makeup directly on the brows.
* 🚫 Swimming, hot tubs, and saunas.
* 🚫 Picking or peeling the flakes.
* ☀️ Excessive sun exposure.

Obsessed with this tattoo is an understatement. 🤍❤️
The pop of red paired with the placement on the top shoulder is everything. It’s such a feminine, elegant spot that peeks through just enough and looks beautiful with almost anything you wear.
Definitely one of my favorite girly tattoo placements lately. ✨
I don’t think people always see what goes into this career.
It’s not just tattooing skin. It’s holding space for stories, insecurities, growth, and change.
And I’ve had to grow just as much as the people sitting in my chair.
I used to overthink everything I posted, every piece I did, every opinion I had about my own work.
But now I’ve learned something important:
confidence doesn’t come from perfection… it comes from choosing yourself over and over again.
Every tattoo I create now is intentional.
Every line is a reminder that I built this from the ground up by simply not giving up on myself.
Love yourself enough to keep going. 🤍
