It is with a very heavy heart that I have made the decision to put the shop on hiatus for a little while.

For the last few weeks I have been doing everything in my power to keep things running, but the reality is that I simply just can’t right now. At the time that I am writing this, we are still in California handling my father’s estate, and we aren’t sure at this point exactly when we will be returning home. Seeing how I pretty much handle everything, it is pretty much impossible to get new products made and pending orders out in a reasonable timeframe. I have gone over all possible options, and I am left with the absolute last resort. This is not a decision that I am taking lightly, but with everything going on and all future plans in the air, I am unable to make this work any other way.

Since my father was hospitalized back in December, things have been really difficult for me. I have had to take a lot more time for self-care but have still done what I can to make sure that things are still being taken care of. When we got the call about his passing, it put us in a position where we had to drop everything and make sure things were handled. We anticipated being gone a couple weeks, but everything is taking much longer than we had initially planned, and we have no idea how much longer this will all take.

This is a difficult time for myself and the rest of my family, and being that we have no outside employees, there is absolutely no way that we can keep things running without being home. I will be refunding any pending orders as well as putting any current subscriptions on hold. I will also be making some updates to the site to reflect the current circumstances.

We want to make it clear that we are not closing permanently and have no intention to do so in the near future. At this time we are just taking a break until we are home and able to get things back up and running in a timely fashion.

We sincerely thank you for all your love and support during this incredibly difficult time, and we look forward to serving all our customers again in the near future.

My dad was single handedly SoapDysh’s biggest supporter. He always shared news about my newest creations with his friends and neighbors and was always happy to receive soapy gifts. Most of the time he exclaimed that they were too pretty to use and he started his own soap collection featuring products he helped inspire.

His loss has been very hard on all of us here at SoapDysh and at this time we are still currently in California handling all the necessary things following his loss. At this time we are unsure of when we will be returning home and will be skipping our Soap of the Month for the month of May. If you are a part of the Soap of the Month Club, May’s charge will be refunded, and come June, you will be receiving an extra bonus gift to make up for the inconvenience.

Any other orders will continue to be processed within our current time frame, but for now we are unable to release any new products until we are back home.

We thank you all for your support, prayers, and kind words during this very difficult time.
