YEAH, I've just scheduled my JAG laser eye treatments. More than a year and I'm hopeful that I might see well again. I had cataracts removed and replaced with HQ lenses. At first it was fantastic, I could read all the movie subtitles and credits on TV with ease. But the clarity of my site diminished rapidly. No, I don't have to wear progressive glasses any longer but I need strong light to read, I have to lean so far in to the computer, and forget about text on the TV screen.

I’ve arrive upstate for my 3-day workshop Draw Botanical. I had such a wonderful time last year and love the days of really concentrating on the subject and getting technical & aesthetic guidance. My drawing improved greatly. I can’t wait for class to start tomorrow. But for this late afternoon I’m going to enjoy the quiet of the woods and put my feet up. I’ve been so very busy; late summer is intense in the garden and my plate is too full with other demanding and delightful activities. Finally, time to read, and draw!
