Great info!!
If you have a foam roller, this is one of the best ways to work through chest tightness after breast cancer surgery or radiation.
Three levels, start where it feels right for you.
Level one, simple lay: Place the foam roller vertically along your spine and let your arms fall out to the side. Your shoulder blades will drape over the edges. From there, just breathe. Let the rib cage expand with each inhale and release with each exhale. This alone can make a significant difference (and it's relaxing!).
Level two, chest opener: Still lying vertically on the roller, bring your arms to 90 degrees at the shoulder and elbow. From there, slowly reach up overhead and back down, then close across the chest and open again. Gentle, controlled movements is ideal here.
Level three, thoracic extension: Now lying horizontally across the roller at your mid back. Let your spine extend over it and take a few breaths in that position. You can also open and close your elbows to add a little more movement. This one gets into the thoracic spine and deeper chest wall in a way the other two don't.
For all three, 8 to 10 gentle movements, breathing into the stretch the entire time.
One tip I always give: use a soft foam roller. The firm ones feel like lying on a log. Soft gives you the same benefit without the discomfort.
I hope this was helpful! πŸ’•
Save this and share it with someone working through tightness after breast cancer surgery or radiation.

Just leaving this right here...

A cyclospora outbreak has been traced to shredded iceberg lettuce at Taco Bell locations in Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Ohio. CDC and FDA have identified a single supplier in Mexico as the source. Taco Bell has already stopped using them.
Now here is the part worth understanding. Cyclospora is a human pathogen. Lettuce does not have an intestinal tract. What contaminated that lettuce was HUMAN SEWAGE reaching the irrigation water used to grow it. This is not a produce problem. It is a SANITATION PROBLEM
1,644 confirmed cases as of July 2026. Most people recover on their own. But we should not normalize outbreaks like this. Clean water and proper sanitation at every stage of our food supply are not complicated demands. They are basic ones.

πŸŠβ€β™€οΈπŸŒŠ WHY YOUR LYMPHATIC SYSTEM LOVES SWIMMING πŸŒŠπŸŠβ€β™€οΈ
When people think about swimming, they often think about fitness, weight loss, or rehabilitation.
But did you know that swimming may be one of the most lymph-friendly forms of movement available?
Unlike your heart, your lymphatic system does not have its own pump. Instead, it relies on muscle contractions, breathing, body movement, and pressure changes to help move lymphatic fluid throughout the body.
Swimming naturally combines all of these at the same time. πŸ’š
🌊 Water Creates Gentle Compression
When you step into water, your body experiences something called hydrostatic pressure.
Hydrostatic pressure is the gentle pressure that water naturally exerts on your tissues.
The deeper you go into the water, the greater this pressure becomes.
This pressure may help:
πŸ’§ Support healthy fluid movement
πŸ’§ Encourage circulation
πŸ’§ Assist venous return
πŸ’§ Support lymphatic transport
πŸ’§ Reduce the sensation of heavy, tired legs
Think of it as nature’s full-body compression garment.
The beautiful part? The pressure is evenly distributed and constantly adapts as you move.
πŸ’ͺ Every Movement Becomes A Lymph Pump
Your lymphatic vessels are surrounded by muscles.
Every time a muscle contracts, it gently assists nearby lymphatic vessels, helping support the movement of lymphatic fluid.
Swimming engages:
🏊 Arms
🏊 Legs
🏊 Core muscles
🏊 Back muscles
🏊 Shoulder muscles
🏊 Neck muscles
This creates hundreds of rhythmic muscle contractions throughout a single swim session.
The more muscles involved, the more support your lymphatic system receives
