Back in July I was constantly thinking about how I could support the Black Lives Matter movement without putting myself at risk of coronavirus. (I’m a germaphobe and get extremely anxious in large crowds.)

Enter lipsticks.

This company gave 100% proceeds of their F*CK Trump lipsticks to the Black Lives Matter organization so obviously I bought 3. Not only do I love this color and formula, but I love that by wearing this, I’m making a statement. I could finally feel good about purchasing a lipstick when I already have 500 because I knew the money was going to a cause that I support.

In the makeup industry, it’s so easy to buy what’s trendy without thinking about where the money is actually going to. Now is the time to support and make it a habit.

Makeup was a later found passion for me that started in my college years. I was in a sorority and after a while, my sisters would ask me to do their eyeshadow for them because they loved my signature smokey eye.

Fast forward to the present and I’m doing full faces of makeup! Nothing excites me more than analyzing someone’s face to create a look that both addresses the client’s vision, but also lets their inner beauty shine. I love helping people feel confident in their own skin and I’m so lucky to be able to call this a job.

Today I got the honor to do my best friends makeup for her post-wedding/engagement photos! She wanted something pinky/goldish natural to enhance her already beautiful facial features and I think we nailed it.

I had so much fun creating more of an artistic look yesterday and experimenting with colors 😍

To create le bubbles I used the Norvina pro pigment palette along with the Thirsty palette from Jeffree Star.

I’d be lying if I said that things are back to normal since quarantine lifted. Things are not only tough on beauty professionals, but also on their clients! People are definitely putting more thought into whether it’s worth the risk to get a facial, and “maskne” is no joke!
