Fun little health update for yall 🙃 This year started out pretty wild! For the first time ever I experienced intense dizziness and vertigo for nearly two months straight along with a ton of other symptoms that were debilitating including temporary loss of mobility in my legs and extremely blurry vision. It was very scary and came on suddenly. I couldn’t walk, drive, or read my phone. After lots of tests and imaging, seeing multiple doctors, and an ER visit after a fall at the salon, I was finally diagnosed with a week ago while I’m also being evaluated for and (these are symptoms of hEDS).

While having a diagnosis has been validating and explains a lot even dating back to my childhood, I’m having quite the journey relearning what my body can and cannot do, including how to still be able to do what I love! I am back to my “normal” now but in the salon you might notice me utilizing my saddle stool more, wearing braces on different parts of my body for added comfort, elevating my legs, and snacking a lil more 😋. Working long days is over for me but I am more flexible now with my schedule since my days aren’t going to be as long. I will say this has also encouraged me to be way better about staying hydrated and drinking lots of water (silver lining 😅). Life can deal some wild cards but it’s all about how you play them! We pivot, adjust, and do our best moving forward. Thanks for supporting me through all the craziness. Love you all XOXO 💋
