Let’s talk about LUXURY SERVICES.
Today we’re talking about extensions specifically.
Extensions are a LUXURY service and with luxury services come a higher price point. As much as we would all love to have all of the luxurious things in life we can’t all have them and that’s ok.
Now don’t get me wrong my extensions are my babies and I wouldn’t feel like a BADDIE if I didn’t have them. Therefore I understand the costs incurred to maintain and keep my extensions and will willingly hand over the money to my hair magician.
Let’s just do a little price breakdown.
A new two row 22” installation will set you between $1800- 2200.
Yes you read that right, is that alot of money to some people YES to others NO.
Now let’s talk maintenance costs. You will need to have your extensions moved up on average every 8 weeks and the cost for that is $275 plus the cost of color if applicable. So that’s about 6 move ups a year totaling about $1700. Is that a lot of money? To some people YES and to others NO.
It’s all about perception, value and finding the value in the service you are paying for. Now is there cheaper extension types on the market ABSOLUTELY and those are just fine to start with before you can make the dive into the luxury hair game.
What’s the point of this post? Is to remember that just because it’s out of your current budget doesn’t mean the stylist is over priced because price is subjective. It may just mean we need to start with something in your price range and just wait it out until you can fully commit to the LUXURY hair world.

You sit down in the chair, so excited to get your hair done that you completely can’t find the words to describe what you want?

Bring lots of pictures! Bring pictures of what you like but also what you don’t like. By creating a visual of what you want, you eliminate any confusion and miscommunication!

This gem is wearing 2 rows of for length and fullness. We keep her color simple and very low maintenance. She usually gets a face frame, a base color, and a gloss. She comes in about every 10 weeks for her extension move up and her color. Extensions do not have to be high maintenance guys. Now that you have the lowdown on her hair, I have a question.
