A little reflecting this morning as we are entering the middle of June 2026. 41 years in the industry! 38 years ago I took my NY State Board Cosmetology test. I remember receiving it in the mail on July 1st 1988. I had already been assisting for 3 years at an awesome family salon on Merrick Road in Belmore, NY , where I learned soooooo much beyond what text books could have ever taught us. Looking back, that opportunity of training was the foundation. Hard work, dedication, loyalty, understanding the true industry. Not just learning enough to get through the state test, but learning the ins and outs of the salon, problem solve to think outside the box when text book knowledge wasn't working bc not every client is text book! I found these memories...My state board card, an award clipping from the Merrick Life Newspaper and a picture of my very first station when I got behind the chair. 41 years!! So very grateful! Thank you to all my clients, Co workers and the continued support through these years! Continue to do what you love and you'll love what you do!

Today behind the chair!! Love this chika!! Known her over 20 years! She wanted to go back to red. So away we went! Something to make her eyes pop with a rich tone! Love ya! You look fabulous!!
