"My experience at Port Townsend School of Massage was truly transformative. Each teacher brought compassion, knowledge, and genuine care to the classroom, creating an environment where I always felt heard, supported, and encouraged to grow. (I leaned the true meaning of “trust the process!”) I graduated with not only a strong foundation in massage therapy, but also lasting friendships and a deeper understanding of the meaningful role we can play in caring for and holding our community. The education and connections I gained continue to influence the way I practice and show up for others. Lizzz, the director, is incredibly supportive and continues to be a wonderful resource, always willing to answer questions and offer guidance as I build my career—even months after graduation. I’m deeply grateful for the education, community, and lasting relationships I gained at PTSM.

Also! If I could tell any of the current or future classes anything,,

It would be to trust the process. Let go of your expectations and roll with it. Your teachers know what they are doing, even when things seem backwards and upside down. TOUCH MORE BODIES! Seriously. I don’t know how many times I heard “the more bodies you touch, the more understanding you’ll have.” ITS ANNOYINGLY TRUE! Yes, it will seem like you do clinical neck work 4937347596 times but you’ll wish you would have done it more by the time you’re on your own. (Seriously, a femur is a femur but have you ever noticed how different everyone’s neck is!?!)

Also, also.. have the best time. It ends up going by in a flash. AND When it’s MBLEX time, trust yourself. The school really did prepare you.

I honestly think there are 2389672 more things I wish I could say to a new class. I’m going to run around being a spokes person for PTSM and for this industry. We get to be the center for another humans selfcare time. What an honor.

Celebrating WE 3-27 as they all smashed their kinesiology final!!! Graduates know this final is challenging and these women did a fantastic job conquering the material. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

As a local business, we try to find ways of "cross-pollinating" to see if we can spread the word about some of our local businesses we either work with, are neighbors with or that we support. Today, we'd like to highlight Sunrise Coffee Company!!! We purchase coffee from Sunrise to offer our students, who may want a quick cuppa or pick me up. Sunrise is a wonderful local roaster located at the Port! Thank you, Sunrise, for the lovely "rise and shine" of the day!!!

Another round of gusty winds are expected late tonight-Tuesday as the next weather system moves in. Southerly wind gusts between 25-35 mph are expected for most of the area. The strongest winds expected for areas near Everett & northward, where 40-45 mph gusts are possible.
