I am posting this because many times clients will come in insisting they don't want a certain color or any hint of it in their final result, normally its "red" or "gold", but when I bring out the swatches analyzing them together, attempting to get a visual verification of their request, I realize our adjectives are completely different.
So here are a few images of hair color and their corresponding names. Please take into consideration shade names may change depending on the stylist, the region, the medium in which you are observing it on (i.e. real hair swatch, plastic hair swatch, magazine, computer screen) just to name a few. But as far as the Hair Studio is concerned these are a good examples for a reference. I also always want to educate my clients and makes sure that if someday I'm not there to do their hair, they are knowledgable enough to ask the right questions so they feel comfortable their next stylist will be the right fit.

Winter can get a little dreary in the PNW, so an easy way to bright up your day!💕 check out these beautiful golden honey blondes, to rich multidimensional browns. Depending on your desired existing base color these balayagas or thinly woven foil applications, can be simplified to an easy and quick partial foil to add some pop to possibly a flat, or dulling natural/base color.
Alright just wanted to share the colors that have been catching me eye🌟.

A quick update! Madisen is back and feeling better! She is working a light schedule of two days a weeks, gradually increasing her hours.

Madisen is a color specialist. She lives and works in Seattle, but comes across several times a week to work with her mother Josie, who is also the owner and one of the three stylist at The Hair Studio.

The residents of Port Townsend and the greater Olympic Peninsula utilize well water more then any of the other locations I've worked at on the West Coat. Well water can build up on the hair (even with a water filter) and can make it feel dry, change color, and leave a deposit that makes it never feel clean. Don't give in and just live with it! Know that we offer amazing Malibu hair treatments, that actually cleanse the hair of the residual buildup of minerals fond in ground water. Here are some photos of a transformation I've been needing to post for a while. I gradually convinced one of my best friends, and long time hair clients, to change her signature merlot to ashy blonde, and it turned out to suit her beautifully❤️❤️❤️
The silvery blonde is now, and the purple is what we started with. Now this didn't happen over night it took several months, but it just shows with a little patiences and a stylist with the right skill set anything is possible!☺️
P.S. if your wondering, her hair is still in great condition!

Fabulous at any age! This woman's colour was just trending on modern salon, with nothing but good comments, so don't be afraid to be colourful as you get older, most people aren't judging you, we love it❤️

Thank you guys for the birthday tips! I should have made three! At least still have some takeaway boxes for another time, It went so fast! And I was nervous we wouldn't be able to get ride of all of it. Definitely wish I could do more but hope it brightened their days just a little.
