🍂 Fall is officially PEEL SEASON! 🍂

As the weather cools down and our days of soaking up the summer sun start to come to an end, fall is one of my favorite times to start working on all that summer skin damage. ✨

TRIAL ➝ WEDDING DAY ✨
This is exactly why I love bridal trials.
The photo on the left was her trial, and the photo on the right was her wedding day. We didn’t completely reinvent her makeup, we simply took what we learned from the trial and refined it.
For the wedding day, we:
added a little more definition around the eyes
created a slightly more lifted, polished eye shape
gave the complexion a bit more dimension and warmth
enhanced the cheeks for a more noticeable bridal flush
defined the lips a little more while still keeping them soft and natural
made small adjustments so everything photographed beautifully while still feeling like her
A bridal trial isn’t about creating a “perfect” look the first time. It’s about figuring out what you love, what you might want more or less of, and giving us the opportunity to fine-tune everything before the big day.
And this is why feedback after your trial is so important.
The goal is never to make you look like somebody else. The goal is for you to walk down the aisle feeling like the most confident, elevated version of you.

One thing I’ve seen far too much of this wedding season is brides being left stressed, disappointed, or scrambling at the last minute because a vendor canceled, stopped communicating, or simply wasn’t able to provide the experience they were expecting.

That is exactly why I encourage every bride to do your research before booking, especially when it comes to your hair and makeup.

Look through portfolios. Read reviews. Ask questions. Pay attention to communication. Make sure there is a contract. Make sure the artist has experience with weddings, timelines, different skin types, hair textures, long-wear makeup, and the pressure that comes with a wedding morning.

Most importantly, find vendors who genuinely care about you and your experience.

And something else I think matters just as much: a great wedding vendor should be a team player.

Sometimes the artist you love is already booked for your date and that happens. But the right vendor should still want to help you. If I’m unavailable, I would much rather refer you to another artist I know, trust, and feel confident putting my name behind than simply say, “Sorry, I’m booked” and send you back to square one.

There are several amazing vendors in this industry who operate the same way. We may technically be in the same field, but at the end of the day, the goal should be making sure brides are taken care of.

There is room for all of us.

Affordable does not automatically mean bad, and expensive does not automatically mean amazing. But choosing someone solely because they are the cheapest option can sometimes cost you much more in stress later.

Your wedding day is one of those days where reliability matters.

You deserve vendors who show up.
You deserve vendors who communicate.
You deserve vendors who take your wedding seriously.
You deserve vendors who have a professional network they trust.
And you deserve vendors who care about your wedding even if they aren't the person ultimately providing the service.

When you’re comparing vendors, don’t just ask, “How much do they charge?”

Ask yourself, “Do I trust this person with one of the most important mornings of my life?”

Do your research. Read the reviews. Study the work. Ask the questions. And choose the people who make you feel confident, comfortable, and cared for. 🤍
