By this time I am sure you are aware that COVID 19 (coronavirus) is beginning to widely circulate in the United States.

If you are like me, you probably have concerns and are wondering what will come next. I would characterize my own feelings as cautious and concerned but not panicked (no point in that, since it won't help).

Here at the Healing Oasis our focus is always to meet the needs of our clients and perform all duties with excellence and an important part of that is to make sure that your safety and health is at the forefront.

As of today, the Oasis of Healing is having to make quite a few large concessions.

My thoughts are with everyone who earn their living through human touch. I have been receiving questions about safety practices, guidance and giving massage.

An issue like COVID 19 clearly represents a potential threat to our normal way of life and for many of my clients that means questioning whether to receive massage and/or bodywork
and whether to give Massage or body work. Unfortunately there is no guidebook or directive to let us knowthe absolute correct answer or even when that answer might change. The Center for Disease Control and the World Health Organization are guiding authorities when it comes to health issues. At this point, they are encouraging good hygiene (something massage and bodywork professionals follow already) and avoid contact with others if you're sick (always a good practice and critical for these times). Neither of those directives suggest not getting massage, if you're in good health.
I am continuing to give regular massages this week and intend to keep doing so.
As it is up to each of us to do our part to get through this. It is in times like this that we need to help each other out.
