Happy National Sunscreen Day!! ☀️

When choosing a sunscreen, it's generally recommended to use one with an SPF of 30 or higher—meaning it will block around 97% of the sun's UVB rays. It’s also important to take other sun protection measures like shade, wearing protective clothing ( including cute sunhats), avoiding peak sun hours if possible (typically between 10am-4pm) and wearing sunnies to protect the eyes.

Today, I’m wearing NOON MultiVit SunProtector. It feels light on my skin and gives me a softglow all while shielding it from the harmful rays. Not only does this help prevent skin cancer, but helps prevent the formation of worsening lines and wrinkles. 😎

Let’s talk about one of my favorite ingredients that I incorporate into my daily AM/PM skincare routine: hyaluronic acid.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance found in the body that has several benefits for the skin, joints, and other tissues. As we age, our skin naturally loses HA, resulting in thirsty skin.

HA is gentle enough to be used on all skin types including those with eczema, rosacea, and acne-prone skin. When our skin is hydrated, the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles are reduced, and further creating a more smooth and plump appearance. HA does this by by binding to water molecules.

End result: healthy, hydrated skin with a fresh and dewy glow✨

How to use: HA should be the first step to your skincare routine in order to lock in moisture. Because it is considered a “moisture magnet”, if should be applied to damp skin in order to prevent transepidermal water loss and to maintain hydration💦
