Barefoot Shiatsu is a tradition Japanese approach to bodywork utilizing the feet to press, stretch and stroke the body in what is a surprisingly comfortable and satisfying massage experience. It is also fun to do!
This technique is especially useful when the client is larger than the practictioner. This class is a good introduction to Shiatsu.

The Franklin Method is focused on understanding body movement using what’s known as Dynamic Neurocognitive Imagery (DNI). DNI combines movement exercises with imagery of biomechanics, anatomical structures, and the relationships between body parts during movement. This method contextualizes movements so that participants can see how the body is functioning anatomically with each movement, deepening one’s knowledge of the body and its interconnectedness. Its benefits include improvements in coordination, flexibility, mobility, strength, and bodily awareness. OSM currently offers several classes that apply the Franklin Method to different body segments.
