Remedy Botanicals

I have a couple different coaches that I work with, one has known me for years and one is brand new. The first is more business focused, the second is more social media focused they both wanna rip their hair out about my inaction around this exact piece of content.

I am a person, an old woman, pretending to be a young woman who just moved to a city she loves, just finalized her divorce after a 1 million year long marriage. I love trees and flowers and 💕Portland, Oregon. I love long walks, specifically with my AirPods in blasting music. I love music. I also like dancing and going out - maybe being the party girl I never was allowed to be earlier in my life.

I have sold perfume online for almost 8 years. This is a story series of its own.

I am grateful for the business that I have, really it changed my life completely. Allowed me to do every single thing I mentioned above, I am not completely in love with the products, have never felt comfortable, showing my face online promoting them.

The products that I made myself (some with my daughter) that actually are all that I stand for. Health, honesty, not bull s**t promises. So tired of that version.

I make and sell skin care and body care products. And want to promote them as myself. This is terrifying, confusing, I don’t know what I’m doing.

My hand is currently being forced, because the perfumes that I essentially inherited in 2018 are going away. I don’t know when exactly but the current owners (creators) will not invest in reformulating them to meet the constantly evolving safety standards.

So the business that gave me the keys to my freedom, is not the one that can support it, I’m afraid. And as I do in many things in life, I have procrastinated trying to figure out the perfect plan until it’s close to too late. Now I have to get my ass on camera and promote without a plan and learn right here in front of you. If you’ve read this far, you are my audience at least for today.

This is one version of skin care!

I firmly believe that self-care is skin care. Taking a break, getting lots of rest are so important for our well-being. And our skin just reflects that well being.

For my birthday this year, I took myself to one of my favorite places, to see one of my favorite people. My best friend is for sure the one guaranteed person who will be happy to celebrate me. That’s something I really need this year.

I ran away from home for my birthday. I’m currently staying at my best friend’s sweet Sonoma County Beach area hideaway. She and her family have this cute little homestead.

My bedroom is a sleeping hut. Outdoor shower, composting toilet, utility sink. You get the picture.

It is a funny sign of the times that I can have no cell phone service but blazing fast Internet.

I was gonna wait to start my posting project until after I got home, but I’ll always find an excuse if I’m looking for one.

Of course it is much more important to re-organize my sock drawer and clean my kitchen garbage can before I leave town,

NOT to make the reel that I had planned. What is that impulse? To clean your house so thoroughly before you leave town, even if it’s just for a few days?

Goofy day two of face washing videos. I chopped this up a lot because I think I said moisture 14 times in a minute.

God I’m so glad I’m not sunburned, but the feeling of sun screen on my face and body is the worst.

Happy to get it off my face. And to get some MOISTURE, apparently.

Day 2 💕✨

I am the worst at picking up bad habits. Since I moved in April, I have had no structure. My skin care, dental care, night time routine have been spotty at night. I am whoooped at the end of the day. I’m usually up at 5-6am and by 9:00pm I have nothing left to give, even to myself. Can you relate?

This would be an evening I would kick off my shoes, take off my bra and fall into bed. Regret it in the morning, but not care at all tonight. I deserve better.
