Hi, I’m Lindsay, the heart and hands behind Pinecone Healing.🌸
For those of you who are new here, I wanted to share a little bit about me and why I was guided to open a hair and healing practice.
I’ve been a hairstylist for 20 years, but my path has always felt deeply connected to something more….the unseen, the energetics, and the healing power of nature. Growing up on 80 acres of forest in Oregon, I spent my childhood immersed in the natural world, learning how to see, hear, and feel the gifts around me. That deep connection to nature never left me.
A few years ago, I felt a strong pull to merge my love for hair with energy healing.
I spent almost a decade studying under incredible teachers in energy work, herbalism, astrology, clairvoyance and intuitive healing AND it cracked me wide open. I realized hair holds so much more than we often acknowledge. It’s an extension of our nervous system, our experiences, our emotions, and our stories. And with that, Pinecone Healing was born.
The name Pinecone came to me in a guided meditation during my mentorship, Under the Eagle’s Wing. I was shown a pinecone in my vision and later learned it symbolizes our sixth sense and the intuitive center. It felt like a sign from spirit to create a space where hair and energy work could intertwine, a space for healing, clearing, and deep release. It seemed fitting to name my business, Pinecone healing.
So here l am, offering a sacred one-on-one space for hair and energy healing sessions, where we not only care for your hair but also help you learn about your emotional body- clear stagnant energy, clear energetic cords, working with plant medicine and invite new beginnings.
If you’ve ever felt called to experience a hair session that goes beyond the surface, where your emotional body, physical body, and energy field are all honored, you’re in the right place.
Thank you for being here, and I can’t wait to connect with you!
October books are open. Come ease into this new fall energy..🍁🍂

I’ve had my hands in hair for as long as I can remember.
My mom was a traveling beautician, and when I was young she would go into a few nursing homes in our community to do hair. I spent many of my summers handing her curlers and perm rods, helping where I could, and wheeling the residents back and forth from their rooms to the little salon area.
Honestly, wheeling them/or walking them back to their rooms was my favorite part.
That was usually when the stories came out.
They would show me photos of their children and grandchildren, tell me about their marriages, the places they had lived, the people they had loved, and the lives they had built. I didn’t realize it then, but those little walks down the hallway taught me something that has stayed with me for my entire career- hair has never just been about hair.
One woman I became especially close with was named Grace. Every year on my birthday, she would give me one dollar. I can still remember how special that felt, not because of the dollar itself, but because of the relationship we had built over all those years.
Looking back now, it almost makes me laugh that I ever thought I would do anything other than this work.
Even before I understood energy healing, grief work, or the emotional body, I was learning how meaningful it can be to simply sit with someone, listen to their story, offer care through touch, and help them feel seen.
Twenty years into this career, that part has never changed.
Yes, I still love creating beautiful hair, but the deeper part of my work has become creating a space where the whole person is welcome. The grief, the laughter, the transitions, the reinvention, the uncertainty, the healing... all of it.
Maybe I didn’t know it as a kid handing my mom perm rods in a nursing home, but I think I was already learning what my work would eventually become.
Hair was simply the doorway. 🤍🌿

Your hair has moved through every chapter of your life with you…relationships, grief, illness, hormonal changes, new beginnings, identity shifts, and all the different versions of yourself you have become along the way.
Think about the times you suddenly wanted to cut it short, grow it long, change the color, or finally release the length you had held onto for years. Sometimes we simply want a new style, but sometimes that desire reflects something deeper. Our outside may no longer feel aligned with who we are becoming, or we may be looking for a tangible way to honor a transition already happening within us.
Hair and healing also meet through the body. Stress, grief, illness, hormonal changes, lack of sleep, and nervous system overwhelm can affect the scalp and natural hair-growth cycle. Yet we often focus only on correcting the hair without becoming curious about what the whole person has been living through.
That is why a Hair + Healing Session is about far more than how your hair looks. We care for your haircut, scalp, texture, and hair goals while also making room for you through intentional touch, scalp massage, guided meditation, energy clearing, conversation, or quiet—whatever feels most supportive that day.
I do not believe a haircut magically changes your life, but I do believe the experience can become healing. It can be a mindful pause, a ritual that marks a transition, and a moment when your outside begins to reflect something that has already shifted within you.
🌿 If you have been craving more than a traditional salon appointment, I invite you to come exactly as you are. Together, we can care for your hair, tend to what is happening beneath the surface, and create an experience centered around the whole person sitting in my chair.
September books are open! Link in bio to book a Hair and Healing session.🌿💛
I think changing that one word changes everything.
I wonder what would happen if we approached our grief the way we would tend a garden.
With patience.
With compassion.
With curiosity.
With the understanding that every day might ask something different of us.
One of the things I’ve noticed while sitting with people in grief is that it rarely shows up as sadness alone. Sometimes it arrives as anxiety that seems to come out of nowhere. Sometimes it’s anger over things that never used to bother you. Sometimes it’s brain fog, making it hard to remember simple words or finish a thought. Sometimes it’s exhaustion that sleep can’t seem to touch, tension held deep in the shoulders or chest, withdrawing from the people you love, or feeling disconnected from the person you once were.
These experiences can feel confusing, but they are incredibly common. Grief affects not only our emotions but also our nervous system, our bodies, and the way we move through the world. It asks us to slow down and listen in ways we may never have had to before.
What if, instead of asking yourself how to stop feeling this way, you asked yourself, “What does my grief need from me today?”
Maybe it needs rest, maybe it needs tears, maybe it needs movement, nature, quiet, conversation, or simply someone willing to witness your pain without trying to fix it.
That’s the heart behind my Held in Grief Sessions.
It’s to offer a space where your grief is welcome exactly as it is. Together, we gently tend to it through conversation, grounding practices, meditation, nervous system support, and meaningful rituals that honor your grief.
🤍 If your griefhas been asking for your attention, I’d be honored to hold space for you.
I think about this all the time.
How many times did you come home from school in tears because someone said something hurtful? How many times did you believe someone else’s words became your truth?
Let’s be honest... kids can be wonderfully kind, and they can also be incredibly hard on one another.
Looking back now, I realize that so much of what I carried wasn’t actually mine. I absorbed harsh words, unfair judgment, exclusion, and other people’s pain as if it somehow defined me. I didn’t know there was another way. I thought my job was to carry it all.
What if, instead, someone had taught us that we could notice those experiences without owning them? What if we had learned that our emotional body deserves care just as much as our physical body? What if someone had shown us how to ground ourselves after a difficult day, clear the energy we’d picked up, set healthy energetic boundaries, or simply recognize the difference between, “This is mine,” and “This is NOT mine.”
I often wonder how differently so many of us would have moved through childhood... and honestly, through adulthood too.
The beautiful thing is, it’s never too late to learn.
This is why I feel so passionate about teaching energetic tools, not just offering healing sessions. Every session is different because every person who walks through my door is carrying something different. For one person, it might be grief. For another, nervous system overwhelm, people-pleasing, anxiety, burnout, or simply feeling disconnected from themselves.
Together we explore the emotional body, grounding, aura clearing, chakra setting, meditation, and practical tools that you can continue using long after you leave the studio.
Because my hope isn’t that you become dependent on me. My hope is that you begin trusting yourself. That you become curious about your own energy. That you move through the world knowing you don’t have to carry everything you feel.
If this resonates with you, I’d love to invite you you into the studio. Come exactly as you are, and together we’ll explore what your emotionalbody to tell.
