Two years I’ve been taking clients at Daija’s Curl Bar! This is the perfect opportunity to reintroduce myself to all my followers!

Welcome to my page! I’m Daija, a Curl Specialist based in Portland, Me. I’ve been doing hair for almost seven years and strictly curls for six years.

•Aside from my passion for curls, I’m a full time Event Coordinator. I’ve been pursuing this new path for a year and a half and love every minute of it!
•I’m getting back into my reading era. I read 20+ books in 2024. I love everything romance and psychological thriller and hope to double the amount of books I read last year, this year.
•I’ve been on a health journey for two years, learning how to love, respect, care and appreciate my body and all it does. I’ve lost 150 pounds and hope to keep going!
•If I’m not chilling with my beautiful clients or coordinating an event you can find planning my next vacation or dancing the night away with my people!

This week I was able to branch out of my comfort zone and provide a custom service for my new wonderful client.
This client came in requesting to use all of her own products, due to some strong allergies she has to common ingredients that are found in many hair care, skin care and household products. Of course this was new territory for me but we made it work! She was turn down by salon after salon and luckily we stumbled upon each other.
We were able to come up with a routine that works for her and her curls with all the products she is safe to use. I mean, look at those frizz less hydrated curls!
If you have products at home that you love that weren’t recommended to you by the salon, that’s okay! I’m not here to judge! I’m here to work with you and show you how to achieve your best curls with the tools we have! If you love the Innersense products I use on you then I love that for you! If you don’t and you like what you have at home more, that’s okay too🫶🏽

Beautiful! This curly girl was so adorable!

Alaina had her first appointment with me last week. Her biggest goal was to learn how to stretch her curls to show her true length as she works on growing out her hair.

We went over all my favorite tips and tricks to get elongation in her tight curls and now she’s ready to rock her long natural curls!
